Greece is calling your name. Are you ready to answer? Let’s explore the top 10 must-see ancient sites and ruins first.

The Acropolis in Athens is a must-see, with the iconic Parthenon temple sitting atop a hill overlooking the city. Built in 447 BC, the Parthenon honors the goddess Athena. When climbing up the stone walkways, you'll see magnificent Doric columns and architecture.

The Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, perched on a cliff with views of the sea, is stunning at sunset. Only 15 columns remain of the original temple from 444 BC, but it's majestic.

The Palace of Knossos on Crete, home of the Minoan civilization from 2000 BC, is Europe's oldest city. Though mostly ruins, you can still see remnants of royal chambers, baths, and the legendary labyrinth.

With over 6,000 islands to choose from, you'll be spoiled for choice. Santorini is a must-visit with its iconic white-washed buildings, black sand beaches and vibrant sunsets. Mykonos is a glamorous party island, perfect for dancing the night away. Crete boasts palm-fringed beaches, ancient ruins and rugged mountains. Rhodes, Corfu and Zakynthos also top the list of popular islands. Island hopping by ferry is a great way to see many of these isles in one day  trip. Some of the Magnificent BeachesGreece's beaches come in many flavors - from family-friendly sites to secluded locations. Some of the best include:?      Navagio (Shipwreck) Beach in Zakynthos with crystal-clear waters and a rustic shipwreck.?      Balos Lagoon in Crete, which is only accessible by boat, is filled with tropical vibes.?      Porto Katsiki, in Lefkada, features dramatic cliffs and turquoise waters.?      Voidokilia Beach in Messinia is a perfect crescent-shaped beach with dunes.A beach holiday in Greece is a dream come true. The Zagori region has beautiful stone bridges, monasteries and villages connected by hiking routes. The Mani Peninsula has coastal trails with sea cliffs and beaches. Crete has gorges, with the Samaria Gorge being one of the longest in Europe. Hiking in spring or fall is best if you want to avoid the biggest crowds.BeachgoingWith over 1,000 islands, Greece's coastline seems endless. Some of the most famous beaches are on the islands of Crete, Corfu, Kos, Rhodes and Zakynthos. Look for quieter shores on the islands of Lesvos, Chios or Samos. Most beaches have sunbeds and umbrellas to rent, and you can visit tavernas right on the beach for lunch.Water SportsIf you want to get out on the water, Greece offers opportunities for sailing, sea kayaking, kitesurfing and more. The Ionian Islands and Sporades are ideal for sailing, with steady winds and secluded bays. The beaches around Kalamata are popular for kitesurfing and windsurfing. Jamaica Travel Agent Specialist

Jamaica is blessed with natural beauty, from lush rainforests to stunning waterfalls. A trip to this island country is just what the doctor ordered. The words, “Wah Gwaan?” (“What’s Up?”) often is a friendly refrain. That’s why I love serving as a Jamaica travel agent advisor. Not only is the island destination a fantasy holiday, it’s also a place where you can expect warmth and ongoing friendliness. One of the most spectacular sights is Dunns River Falls near Ocho Rios. Climb the 600-foot tiered waterfall, with pools and rapids at every turn. Remember to wear proper shoes, as the rocks can be slippery, Guides are also available to help you navigate the ascent and take in the jaw-dropping views. For a glimpse of Jamaica’s diverse wildlife, head to Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park. In the park you can spot rare birds like the streamertail hummingbird or the colorful blue-crowned motmot. You might also encounter the giant swallowtail butterfly, one of the largest butterflies in the western hemisphere. The park has scenic hiking trails to waterfalls and viewpoints where you can take in all the magnificent scenery!Want to escape the crowds? YS Falls, in the southern parish of St. Elizabeth, features seven pristine pools surrounded by gardens and hiking trails. Relax in the warm mineral springs or swing out over the water from rope swings and zip lines. The Black River, Jamaica’s longest river, is also located here—take an eco-tour to see crocodiles in their native habitat. To really get a sense of Jamaican culture, head to the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston. This former home of the legendary reggae musician is now a museum dedicated to his life and music. You’ll see Marley’s home, recording studio, and more. While you’re there, check out Tuff Gong Studio - it’s iconic. You’ll also want to take a trip to one of the rural communities in the Jamaican interior - like the Maroons in Accompong or the Rastafarians in Pinnacle. Learn about native customs and traditions that have endured for centuries. The locals all happily share their way of life with visitors. It’s a side of Jamaica many tourists miss.In addition, you’ll want to visit a plantation, as Jamaica’s history is deeply rooted in these estates, whether coffee or sugar cane. Visit a historic plantation like Rose Hall or Good Hope Estate. You’ll get a glimpse into life in the 18th and 19th centuries. See the grand manor houses where the planters lived, the huts where slaves resided, and the fields where crops were once grown. It’s a sobering but enlightening experience.I might suggest taking a tour of a Rastafarian community like Pinnacle in Saint Thomas. Learn about the roots of the Rastafari movement and their spiritual connection to Ethiopia. Witness ceremonial traditions like drumming, chanting and meditation. The Rastas are happy to share their beliefs with anyone who is genuinely interested in understanding them. It will give you insight into an integral part of Jamaican identity.Jamaica is also a paradise for thrill-seekers and adventure sports lovers alike. If lazing on the beach isn’t exciting enough for you, the island offers many heart-pumping activities to get your adrenaline pumping.Zip Lining Soar over the treetops at high speeds on zip line tours in the Blue Mountains and Montego Bay. Some of the longest lines are over 1 mile long with drops of up to 600 feet. The stunning views as you glide over the jungle will take your breath away.RaftingTackle whitewater rapids during rafting excursions along the Martha Brae River. You'll navigate exciting class 2-3 rapids with experienced guides leading the way. For families and less intense runs, some sections are more recreational with calmer waters. Either way, you're sure to get soaked and have a blast during the activity.ATV RidingGo off-roading in the mountains and along scenic trails on all-terrain vehicle tours. Single or double rider ATVs are available for an exciting ride through the jungle, down dirt roads and along coastal tracks with stunning and memorable sea views. River Cruising Travel Agent Professional

Many of the major cities in Europe were built up next to navigational rivers for trade and business. Therefore, taking a European River cruise is an ideal way to explore the sights and cultural history of European cities and countries. As a European river cruise travel agent expert, I can arrange a river cruise that rivals other types of European excursions.Fortunately, you have our choice of river cruise itineraries. European river cruises provide a wide variety of sights and sensations, from the brilliant tulip fields in the Netherlands in the spring to the colorful Christmas markets in Germany. With new ships being launched every year, river cruising is the cruise industry's fastest-growing segment. On the plus side, this opens up more options, such as an expanding selection of themed travel experiences, including food and wine and family-friendly sailings. This is where I can help. I know all the details about cruises, and know which ones to recommend to people going on their first river cruise trip. They nearly always begin in wonderful destinations like Paris, Amsterdam, or Budapest. In order to fit into locks and pass beneath bridges, almost all ships on the Rhine and Danube are exactly the same size. Passengers are fewer on more expensive cruise lines while more affordable cruises carry as many as 190 passengers. Onboard amenities include gyms and spas, and price differentials are reflected in the add-ons you choose. Some of the cruise lines include drinks and gratuities in the cruise price. There is a seasonality to planning a river cruise. The season normally lasts from April through October, with the exception of special Christmas markets and New Year cruises. For a first time cruise guest, I might suggest a Rhine River cruise. However, you’re not necessarily confined to that trip.If you want to see castles galore and spectacular scenery, you’ll find a Rhine river cruise a perfect fit.The Rhine, which has more castles than any other river, is home to some of Germany's oldest and most ancient cities as well as centuries of history and culture. The lesser-known Moselle River meets the Rhine in Koblenz after passing through northeastern France and Luxembourg. Eastern Germany's Main River empties into the Rhine, which will bring you to the Main-Danube Canal. At this point, boats enter the famous "Blue Danube," the entrance to Hungary and beyond. The Main RIver is the lengthiest tributary of the Rhine River. Known as the White Main in northeastern Bavaria in the Fichel Mountain range, it flows west through the center of Germany to meet the Rhine River just below Russelsheim, Hesse. The cities of Wiesbaden and Mainz sit close to the Main’s confluence. The approximately 775-mile Rhine, which winds through six nations—Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, France, and the Netherlands—is the most popular river for cruise holidays and, again, is an excellent place for beginners to embark on a river cruise journey.A popular Rhine cruise is a one-week voyage between Basel and Amsterdam, or the other way around, where the scenery of steep grape slopes, fairy-tale castles, and ancient cities offer an ever-changing vista. The UNESCO-listed Upper Middle Rhine Valley, which is filled with castles and historic wine-growing communities, is the beautiful centerpiece of this cruise. Many of the ships pass the famed Lorelei Rock, a sheer 433-foot slate cliff where a beautiful siren was rumored to entice passing sailors to their deaths. Busy Drosselgasse Street in Rudesheim and the castle perched on a rocky hilltop in Heidelberg, are frequent stops on week-long cruises. Since the castle was struck by lightning twice, in 1537 and in 1764, it has endured a turbulent history and defies the adage that lightning never strikes twice. It was constructed between the 13th and the 17th centuries. City highlights on Rhine cruises include Koblenz, which is guarded by the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, one of the biggest castles in Europe, and Cologne, which is well-known for its landmark, a twin-towered Gothic cathedral that took 630 years to build. Longer routes departing from Koblenz include a portion of the Moselle, which snakes through the center of Germany's wine-producing region. The Moselle, a quieter and narrower river than the Rhine, winds past little wine towns like Cochem, which features lovely half-timbered homes. The city of Strasbourg in France serves as a nice introduction to the sights and flavors of Alsace.I can schedule any river cruise to coincide with a yearly event, such as the fireworks celebration in September that celebrates the harvest of grapes for wine-making. I am your travel agent planner for the ideal European River cruise vacation. Let me give you all the details so we can create the perfect itinerary for your next European holiday.

Destination Wedding/Honeymoon Travel Agent Expert

In my 20 years as a Travel Advisor, many of those years specializing in Romance Travel and I absolutely love it! Regardless of if you're looking for a Destination Wedding or a Honeymoon, they are a one-of-a-kind vacation that we can customize together making it truly a unique one-of-a-kind experience. Each couple is truly unique, and I promise to listen to listen to your dreams and turn them into reality. There are many beautiful resorts that are both perfect for weddings or your honeymoon but, like everything else in the wedding industry you have to plan ahead. I’m here and ready to help get your plans in motions. Looking forward to it.

A destination wedding is a unique and exciting way to celebrate the union of two individuals in love. Unlike traditional weddings that are often held in the hometown of the couple, a destination wedding takes place in a location that holds special meaning for the bride and groom or simply offers a stunning backdrop for their nuptials. These weddings have become increasingly popular in recent years, offering couples the opportunity to create unforgettable memories for themselves and their guests. One of the most appealing aspects of a destination wedding is the chance to host an intimate gathering of close friends and family in a beautiful and exotic location. Whether it's a tropical beach, a historic European city, a rustic mountain lodge, or a serene countryside vineyard, the destination sets the stage for a unique and memorable experience. Here are some key elements that make destination weddings so special:Scenic Backdrops: Destination weddings are often chosen for their breathtaking natural beauty or historical charm. Couples can exchange vows against the backdrop of a pristine beach, a majestic mountain range, a centuries-old castle, or a lush garden. The setting itself becomes an integral part of the wedding decor.Intimate Guest List: Destination weddings tend to have smaller guest lists, making it easier for the couple to spend quality time with each attendee. This intimate atmosphere allows for more meaningful connections and shared experiences during the celebration.Extended Celebration: Many destination weddings extend beyond a single day, turning into multi-day affairs. This provides ample opportunities for pre-wedding activities, such as welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, and post-wedding brunches, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the destination's culture and ambiance.Unique Cultural Experiences: Destination weddings often incorporate local customs, traditions, and cuisine, giving guests a chance to immerse themselves in the culture of the chosen location. Whether it's a traditional Hawaiian luau, a Mediterranean feast, or a cultural dance performance, these experiences add a layer of authenticity to the celebration.Stress-Reducing Atmosphere: Contrary to the common belief that destination weddings are more stressful, many couples find them to be less demanding. Destination wedding packages offered by resorts and venues often include all-inclusive options, helping to streamline the planning process.Quality Time: Couples and their guests can enjoy quality time together, as everyone is typically staying in close proximity. This allows for shared adventures, relaxation by the pool, and other bonding experiences that might not be possible with a traditional wedding. However, it's important to note that destination weddings can also come with their own set of challenges, such as travel logistics, potential expenses for guests, and varying legal requirements depending on the location. Couples should carefully consider their guests' ability to travel and plan well in advance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. In conclusion, a destination wedding offers a unique and memorable way for couples to celebrate their love in a stunning and meaningful setting. With careful planning and consideration, these weddings can create unforgettable moments that will be cherished by both the couple and their loved ones for years to come.

Florida Travel Agent Expert

If you go to Florida, you certainly would be regretful if you did not visit a beach. After all, who does not think about Florida and does not add beach activities to their list of pursuits? As your Florida beaches travel agent professional, I can direct you to the best all-inclusive beach resorts in Florida and book luxury accommodations next to some of Florida's most scenic shores. One of the best family locations to visit for a beach vacation is Destin. People love Destin because it is home to white sand beaches, plenty of sunshine, and the Gulf water breeze. Plus, Destin is one of the most affordable beach towns in Florida. Resorts and vacation rentals can be found near popular stretches of sand at Crystal Beach or June White Decker Park. If you want a quieter beach experience, I would suggest paying a visit to Henderson Beach State Park. Of course, I cannot mention a Florida beach trip without highlighting a vacation to Sanibel Island, one of the more peaceful shorelines in Florida. People who visit the beach in Sanibel spend time shelling, or collecting seashells. You can discover some greta finds in places, such as Blind Pass Beach or Bowman's Beach. Another great destination is Lighthouse Beach Park, which features a lighthouse, built in the eighteenth century. Clearwater, Florida is another top place to go on a Florida beach vacation. The beach's white sands and tranquil waters are designed for anyone seeking to relax. Besides lounging or swimming, you can bike or rollerblade on the beach's promenade. See a lovely sunset from Pier 60. You can also fish from the 1,080 pier at night. For anyone who is interested in a beach holiday as well as playing a round or two of golf, I recommend a trip to Naples. If you love to shop, this is the beach destination to choose as well. While the upscale city, located on the Gulf of Mexico, is a bit pricey, the beach is free to use. Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park, in the area, offers activities, such as shelling and snorkeling. If you wish to escape to the beach but want to stay close to city amenities, I recommend, as your travel agent advisor, a trip to St. Petersburg. You will also like the sunny climate, as St. Petersburg holds the record worldwide for successive days of sunshine. If you like kiteboarding, parasailing, or windsurfing, head to Pass-a-Grille Beach. The Shell Key Preserve is the ideal locale for seeing shorebirds or admiring the setting sun. Siesta Key is a great spot for a Florida beach holiday for a couple or a family. The barrier island, which was highlighted on Siesta Key, an MTV show, sits off Sarasota's coast. White quartz sands span over 8 miles, with featured amenities, such as nightly entertainment, shopping and dining. Visit Crescent Beach on Siesta Key for a quieter experience or Turtle Beach if you like walking and collecting shells. Are you ready to plan a Florida beach holiday? If so, let me be your travel agent professional for a Florida beach-themed vacation. I can help you design an escape that fits your preferences, which falls in line with what you want to spend. Call me or email me today so we can start planning your trip right away.

The Magic of Mackinac Island

Born and raised in California I was attending a golf outing in Northern Michigan. I decided to extend my stay and visit Mackinac Island and than drive down the west cost of the state. Daena worked with me to get private transportation from Boyne Highlands to the airport to pick up a rental car. From there we traveled to Mackinac City and drove over the bridge to take a from St. Ignance to the Island. She got us great a great hotel called the The Inn at Stonecliffe. Beautiful views and a great retreat. I highly recommend it. She made our dinner reservations for our entire stay and it was a great experience. We left the island and continued on our road trip. I'd use her again as she was always available, stayed in budget and even took our text messages when we were traveling. Give her a try. You won't be disappointed.

I have always wanted to visit Mackinac but the logistics of getting there kept me from planningm y trip. I discovered Daena on Travel Leaders and she is an expert on Michigan and especially the island itself. She arranged a prenight stay and transfers to the ferry docks. The Island House hotel was spectacular and the location was perfect. We were able to walk into town and yet have the quiet of the island at our resort. I wish we had booked additional night but, I have a feeling we will be back. We left the island and spent 4 days in Traverse City and the family had a blast. Daena was attentive to our families needs, responsive and listened to us to help make our dream trip a reality. Thank you again.
