Arrival & Falls Introduction
Day 1Arrive in Victoria Falls town. Check into your hotel and take an afternoon walk through the falls rainforest trail. Visit all 16 viewpoints including Devil's Cataract for different perspectives. Bring a rain jacket - you'll get soaked from the spray!
Adrenaline & Sunset
Day 2Morning bungee jump or bridge swing from the iconic railway bridge (128m drop!), or try the gorge swing. Alternatively, go white-water rafting on the Zambezi's Grade 5 rapids then relax on a sunset cruise upriver from the falls. Watch hippos, crocodiles, and elephants coming to drink while enjoying sundowner drinks. Perfect way to unwind after morning adrenaline activities.
Devil's Pool
Day 3Early morning Devil's Pool experience (September-December only, when water levels permit). Swim at the edge of Victoria Falls! Boat transfer to Livingstone Island, then guided swim to the natural infinity pool. Includes breakfast. Book well in advance - spaces fill quickly. Explore the Zambian side viewpoints in the afternoon. The perspective is completely different - you see the full width of the falls. Knife Edge Bridge offers breathtaking views but can be slippery. Cross-border visa required (usually available at border).
Chobe National Park
Day 4Drive to Chobe National Park in Botswana (70km, ~1.5 hours to Kasane). Check into your lodge and take an afternoon game drive. Chobe has the highest concentration of elephants in Africa - herds of 100+ are common!
Chobe River Safari
Day 5Early morning game drive focusing on predators when they're most active. Look for lions, leopards, and wild dogs in the riverfront area. Afternoon boat safari on the Chobe River - one of Africa's best wildlife viewing experiences. Get incredibly close to elephants swimming and bathing, hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife. Sunset on the river is magical.
Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park
Day 6Return to Livingstone area. Morning walking safari in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park to track white rhinos on foot - a thrilling experience! Also see giraffes, zebras, and elephants. Afternoon visit to a local village for cultural experience. Explore Livingstone town, visit the railway museum and local markets. Shop for authentic Zambian crafts and artwork.
Victoria Falls Helicopter Flight
Day 7Take a 'Flight of Angels' helicopter ride over Victoria Falls for breathtaking aerial views. See the full 1.7km width of the falls, the gorges, and the Zambezi River snaking through the landscape. The 13-minute or 25-minute flights are worth every penny. Final souvenir shopping in Victoria Falls town before airport transfer. Flights typically depart afternoon/evening.
