My initiation into the world of culinary arts began when I was attending college in Charleston, South Carolina. This foodie city developed my ongoing love for wine & food and curating experiences focused around them.
If you are looking for a great travel destination, then you should consider Charleston, SC. With its charming historic downtown, gorgeous beaches, and abundance of cultural attractions, Charleston is the perfect place to explore and have a great time. From beautiful gardens to amazing museums and a wide variety of restaurants and shopping, Charleston has something for everyone. As your Charleston, South Carolina travel agent and advisor, I can arrange a great holiday. First, take a stroll through the beautiful City Market. This four-block outdoor enclave is home to artisans, musicians, food vendors, and more. Wander around and check out the unique souvenirs and handmade items featured for sale - the ideal place to spend a lazy day in the late spring or summer. I advise following the market on its Facebook page and you’ll know what I mean. The market is the cultural heart of Charleston - a warm and inviting place that has a fantastic history. It was established way back in 1804 and is appropriately located on Meeting Street. Next, visit the Charleston Waterfront Park. This park is located along the Ashley and Cooper Rivers and is therefore the idyllic spot for a scenic stroll or bike ride. For history buffs, a visit to the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon is a must. This is one of the oldest buildings in Charleston, and it is home to a museum, the Provost Dungeon, and several other attractions. During the time of the American Revolution, the British turned the bottom floor of the Exchange into a prison - the place for the Provost Dungeon. It takes about an hour to take the self-guided tour. Even if you’re not into history, you’ll love visiting this old building. You can learn more about the attraction here. Finally, don't miss the aquarium. The South Carolina Aquarium is a great place to learn about sea life and even go on dolphin-watching cruises. The aquarium also features interactive exhibits, feeding shows, and educational programs. Here’s another place you want to follow on Facebook. Charleston is the epitome of everything historic, architectural, and outdoorsy. I always tell clients that it’s one place where you can really explore. Whether you’re dining and sampling new cuisine or hiking in a state park, you’ll make some sensational discoveries. That’s why I alway advise vacationers to begin in Charleston’s historic downtown. Stroll leisurely along cobblestone streets - streets that allow you to escape to another time and place. Stop at iconic landmarks like the Battery at Fort Sumter. Arrange a visit to Pineapple Fountain and make a wish at this Waterfront Park landmark. The park rests along the Ravenel Bridge and Charleston Harbor. It also features a splash fountain for kids of all ages - something to do during the hot Lowcountry summer. You’ll discover that Charleston uses pineapple motifs in the city - iconic images that brand the city in the minds of tourists and visitors. Of course I can’t talk about Charleston without mentioning its beaches - pristine sands that stretch along the Atlantic Ocean. Make plans to visit the Isle of Palms for long shore walks or go to Folly Beach and surf or fish. You’ll also be mesmerized by the Charleston area’s stunning plantations and its excellent museums. In fact, the Charleston Museum is the oldest museum in the U.S. Get to know the city through the museum’s collection of arts, artifacts, and displays. You’ll also want to pay a visit to the Confederate Museum. Market Hall in Charleston is home to the Confederate Museum. The hall was a business hub in the city for many years from its establishment in 1899, and also served as a recruiting station during the Civil War. The museum itself is an exemplary example of the Greek Revival style of architecture. It’s been restored to its prior grandeur. Below are other attractions that you’ll want to consider on your vacation to Charleston:
1. The Gibbes Museum of Art: Located in the heart of downtown, this museum not only houses a stunning range of both traditional and modern art but also offers an array of educational programs and events. 2. The Magnolia Plantation and Gardens: Enjoy a leisurely stroll through this historic plantation and take in the scenery of the gardens and grounds. 3. Middleton Place: A beautiful estate with picturesque grounds, gardens and ponds. 4. Angel Oak Tree: An ancient and majestic live oak tree estimated to be between 400-500 years old. Start planning your visit to explore this amazing city and all it has to offer! Give me a call to begin trip planning now. I look forward to helping you with your vacation plans to Charleston. As your Charleston travel specialist, I can create a memorable holiday. Contact me now so you don’t miss out on this bucket-list destination.

The journey to get to your destination is always a part of the experience that can often surprise you with sights you might not have planned to see. My first trip to Italy was a memorable family vacation that wouldn't have been complete without a few hiccups. We ended up missing our flight to Florence from Paris and had to pivot as a family of 5 traveling together. We rented a car and drove. Something I will always remember was holding a large navigation map directing my father in a country I had never been, let alone driven through. Although that drive wasn't in the plans it gave us a chance to see more of France and Northern Italy, which is absolutely stunning. Since that unforgettable vacation I have returned to Italy several times which has allowed me to execute several itineraries for clients.

While attending college I studied abroad in Spain because not only did I have a love for the language but knew that the culture and people are known for being welcoming and friendly. I fell in love with Seville where I was living, a city which is full of history boasting some of the largest and oldest cathedrals in the world, next to the Vatican. As for food, the jamon is some of the best in the world, in fact I would have a bocadillo (ham sandwich) almost daily. While there, I took the opportunity to travel to several other areas including Cadiz, Benalmadena (a small coastal beach town), the island of Mallorca, Madrid, Barcelona, Toledo, Granada among a few others.

Cara put together and amazing trip for us. All of her suggestions were fantastic. We will absolutely be asking her to plan our next trip.
Cara built our Breckenridge trip around our new family dynamic and interests, and it showed. The logistics were perfect, the pacing was thoughtful, and the experiences were fantastic. She asked the right questions, listened to what we cared about, and delivered a trip that felt personal, curated, and effortless. I'm very grateful for her expertise and highly recommend her to anyone who wants the same peace of mind and a standout travel experience. She even got down to minor details like helping me find ski clothes for my kids. She really took the anxiety out of this trip.
Switzerland has been on our bucket list for over 40 years. We knew nothing about where to go . . . where to stay . . . what to see . . . or how to get there. Cara managed the whole trip for us. She asked all the right questions to find out what we wanted to experience and then she scheduled and organized everything. Traveling abroad presents so many challenges that we were worried about, but Cara handled all transfers with specifics on locations and departure times to put our minds at ease. We had a wonderful trip and were so pleased with everything. The recommended hotels were great and the day trips Cara put together for us were amazing. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cara to our friends and family. Her service was outstanding!!
Cara had great recommendations for private chefs and looked diligently for a spacious accomodation for my little delayed bachelor party.
Our family just returned from the most incredible trip to Greece, and we could not have done it without Cara’s expert planning! She created the perfect itinerary for our extended, multigenerational family, balancing adventure, relaxation, and cultural experiences seamlessly. From an unforgettable boat day off the coast of Naxos, to a sun-soaked beach day among the Greek isles, to a beautiful winery tour in the vineyards, every detail was thoughtfully planned. One of the highlights was meeting and dining with locals, where we truly felt immersed in the culture. Exploring the Acropolis, the Parthenon, and even the stadium where the very first Olympics took place made history come alive for us in a way we’ll never forget. Cara curated a trip full of adventure, fun, and meaningful family bonding. It was an experience we will cherish forever, and we are already excited to plan our next journey with her!
Cara is the absolute best to work with! There is nothing she can’t do, she has planned many of our family trips and they always turn out better than we ever could have imagined. She thinks of every single detail and takes all the stress off of you. This time she helped us plan a family vacation to Greece….for 15 people! Great times were had by all and it was the trip of a lifetime.
Cara did an amazing job booking/coordinating our Greece trip! We went with 15 family members, which I'm sure was tough to coordinate. I don't know how she did it. It was a seamless experience so all we have to worry about was "what am I going to wear today." I highly recommend Cara for any vacation, especially international!
I would like to express my gratitude & appreciation to Cara for helping us with our Breckenridge trip. My family had a great time, my son wants to move to Colorado! Lol. We had a blast and Cara did a great job organizing everything. I’m hoping to plan another trip same time frame next year. I cant thank you enough for all that you have done. I'm looking forward to hopefully working with you again soon.
If you want a seamless trip with all the perks, Cara will make it happen. Starting with letting her handle booking your private jet needs. We previously used private jet memberships but found out once we were in a jam, they were nowhere to be found. With Cara, she is accessible at every step of your journey. Today, she booked a private jet for us with multiple stops to pick up family members for an exciting trip that she customized for us. That is “the Cara difference!”
Cara was an incredibly important partner in booking our trip to Switzerland. She's responsive, considered, thorough, and resourceful in her approach to trip planning. Her recommendations helped us experience the trip of a lifetime.
