The City That Never Sleeps, The Concrete Jungle, The Center of the Universe are all fitting names...
The City That Never Sleeps, The Concrete Jungle, The Center of the Universe are all fitting names for one of my most favorite cities in the world, you know it as New York City. The city where dreams are made every day, the city that is bursting with energy at every hour of every day and night, the city where global flavors meet local flavors on every corner and where music and theatre change lives for the better. With over 800 languages spoken in New York City, you can easily see why the personality, global influence and excitement appeal to everyone. It's a city that awakens the soul in a way no other city can.
I come to New York for the theatre and music, food, nightlife and tennis. Not necessarily in that order, but if I can fit it all into one trip, it's a perfect trip. Not only is New York City the global epicenter of theatre, it is the beating heart of the city. Broadway is magical in a way that changes your life. My first Broadway show was Hairspray, and it did change my life. The unforgettable music, world-class acting and exceptional sets take you to a place that is new and thrilling, and also emotional and transcendent, it is unlike any other experience. Broadway is home to 40 professional theatres and 100+ off-Broadway theatres (shows like Rent and Hamilton started off-Broadway), you are guaranteed to find a show that speaks to you in a way like nothing else can.
The music of New York City is a pulsing undercurrent you can feel walking down any street. It is just as legendary as the skyline itself; from the birth of jazz in Harlem, to the rise of hip-hop in the Bronx, music is created and alive here. Music isn't just entertainment in this city, it's what gives life to the city; whether it's a subway jam session, live jazz at the iconic Blue Note in Greenwich Village, or a classical performance at the world renowned Carnegie Hall or Lincoln Center, the music of New York City not only spans genres, but generations.
I love food, and no other place on Earth delivers the most delicious and eclectic food than New York City. From the mouth watering comforts of a New York pizza or bagel, to Michelin-starred restaurants run by the most acclaimed chefs in the world, the food is absolutely a sensory explosion. New York City boasts over 25,000 restaurants serving every cuisine imaginable. Your tastebuds will thank you no matter which street cart you grab a quick bite from, or one of the 72 Michelin-starred restaurants you dine at.
My favorite nickname for New York City is "The City That Never Sleeps". This ties in perfectly to the food scene and especially with the nightlife. Rooftop bars with the infamous New York City skyline surrounding you is an unbeatable option. You can never have enough New York City skyline when visiting, as it is the most iconic. One of the best spots for panoramic views of the Empire State Building is at 230 Fifth in the NoMad area of Manhattan. Underground speakeasies are always an adventure full of surprises. Rooted in the prohibition era of history, New York's speakeasies combine the tastiest craft cocktails (or mocktails), the sneakiest hidden entrances (some needing passwords), and captivating theatrical themes. Employees Only in the West Village is an absolute top choice, as is The Back Room on the Lower East Side, where they still serve the cocktails in teacups just like during prohibition.
My other favorite New York City activity (I know, I have so many!) is the US Open held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens. As one of the four Grand Slams of tennis, the US Open brings the best-of-the-best tennis players from around the world to New York City. The atmosphere is buzzing for 15 days at the end of summer (think mid-end of August, through early September). Watching these athletes perform at the highest level, sometimes very up close is incredible for any tennis fan to behold. I also cannot miss adding how amazing the food is here at the US Open. Going hand-in-hand with my other favorite activity of eating in New York, as noted above, the food at the US Open does not disappoint. You can go from a seafood platter to French fries within the span of an hour. Gourmet options include Champions, Crown Shy, Fly Fish, and Mojitos to name a few, and some of the yummiest casual choices are Mina's Mediterranean, Empanada Mama, Korilla BBQ, and of course options for pizza by the slice at multiple locations around the grounds. There is no wrong turn when attending the US Open in New York. The atmosphere is ripe with competition and delectable eats, all culminating in an experience you'll savor for a lifetime.
New York City is dazzling under the bright lights of Broadway (and Times Square!), humming with rhythm and creativity, and bursting with flavor in every direction. You cannot deny the pull New York has on your soul when you set foot in The Big Apple, The Capital of the World, The Empire City. New York has it all and is ready and waiting for you to enjoy!

I believe cruises are the perfect blend of comfort and adventure. Whether it's discovering hidden gems in port cities or enjoying world-class amenities on board, cruises offer an array of luxuries for all types of travelers. Having the ultimate flexibility in how you cruise is what makes the journey special. You can indulge in tasty treats with a good book in hand next to the pool, or grab your day pack and camera and head off on totally immersive, private tours on shore. The exploration both on and off the ship abound.
The vibrant cultures of the Caribbean, turquoise waters, and sun-soaked islands make ideal backdrops for an adventure on the open water. Nothing feels as tropical as the white sand of Magens Bay Beach on the US Virgin Island (USVI) of St. Thomas. The first time I set foot on Magens Bay Beach, I knew the island held a piece of paradise, an absolute ideal location for a relaxing day. The views are stunning and the crystal-clear waters seem unnatural, which make for a perfect snorkeling excursion. Another favorite excursion while in the Caribbean is horseback riding on the beach. It feels like you're in your own romantic-comedy movie to be actually riding horseback on a white sand beach, it's surreal, yet magical. Of course scuba diving and catamaran tours are also fun options while in the Caribbean as well.
Whether you're seeking luxury comforts, family-friendly adventure, or off-the-beaten-path exploration, Alaska's breathtaking scenery and full sensory excursions are always front and center. Cruising Alaska offers plenty of options for every type of cruiser with large ship options, plenty of family friendly choices and even the more intimate and adventurous option, expedition cruises; Alaska is available to all. The shore excursions are designed to envelop you in the raw beauty of the terrain, abundant wildlife, and local culture. Whale watching tours are one of the most popular excursions in Auke Bay, Juneau, where humpback and orca sightings are guaranteed. For the thrill seekers, dog sledding on a glacier and ice climbing are also solid, heart pumping choices. Icy Strait Point, Hoonah, offers the world's longest zipline for those seeking an instant adrenaline boost. A descent over forested mountains to the coastline will leave you breathless as you soar like a bald eagle. Alaska is America's final frontier and is ready for you to explore its glory.
If you're looking for a smaller sized ship experience, a river cruise is ideal. Less people, but more scenery and culture, up close and personal. My favorite and most romantic (in my opinion!) is a river cruise down the Seine River in France. What can be more romantic than gliding through Paris with a charcuterie board and glass of champagne at your side, and perhaps your favorite person as well. The Seine takes you through France in a perspective that is truly unique and artistically beautiful. Another top river cruise is down the Rhine River, through Switzerland, Germany, France, and the Netherlands; especially if you're looking for more wine and food. Not to mention the pure fairy-tale experience of the landscapes and castles to behold. Perhaps the most charming of river cruises. Two of the more adventures and exotic river cruise options are down the Nile River in Egypt, and the Mekong River through Vietnam and Cambodia. Both offer exotic culture, food, and ancient history and archeology. The Nile River promises an almost treasure-hunter-type experience, floating along and witnessing the extraordinary Luxor and Karnak Temples, as well as the Valley of the Kings. The Mekong River shows life living on the water as you cruise by floating markets and villages, as well as the ancient palace and killing fields of Phnom Penh. The excitement and more bespoke options of a river cruise are not to be overlooked.
Cruising is an adventure all its own. From onboard water parks to enlightening shore excursions, a cruise is a unique way to see the world. The view of the world from the water is rare and special, and a view that not a lot of people get to experience. A cruise is an absolute surefire way to create an unforgettable journey, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
I love Disney! Any and all things Disney. Every moment spent at Walt Disney World in Orlando,...
I love Disney! Any and all things Disney. Every moment spent at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, is like living in a fairytale where dreams really do come true. From rope drop races to the first ride of the day (Space Mountain, Peter Pan or The Haunted Mansion are some of my favorite first rides at Magic Kingdom, or Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After or Test Track at EPCOT), to Mickey shaped snacks in every size and flavor, to fireworks bursting over Cinderella's Castle or EPCOT's World Showcase Lagoon; Disney World is full of magic that stays with you forever.
Not only is Disney World full of magic and pixie dust, but so is Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Both offer that pure Disney magic, but both offer a little different vibe as well, depending on your mood. Disney World is massive and more of a vacation destination (I fully believe in the Disney-bubble, where staying on-site and fully immersing yourself in all things Disney makes the magic brighter and last longer). Disneyland is more intimate and nostalgic. It's a smaller scale with two theme parks (Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure) and is easily walkable between the parks and Downtown Disney where tasty restaurants and shops abound. Disney World has four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom) and two water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon), as well as a Downtown Disney which is known as Disney Springs. Buses, monorails, the Skyliner, Friendship Boats, and cars are all modes of transportation needed to travel between Disney World parks, and all are fun options for kids of all ages.
One of my favorite things (besides the rides) is the food. All the Mickey shaped treats are not only cute, but taste like magic. The turkey legs are tasty, the dole whips are delicious and the character breakfasts are definitely not to be missed. Chef Mickey's is one of my family's favorites where you can indulge in all the breakfast treats while dancing with Mickey and Pals. Opportunities for photos and hugs for the whole family is a special moment that will last a lifetime. Another one of my family's favorites is the table-service restaurant at EPCOT: Space 220. A restaurant that is truly out of this world! First you take a space elevator ride where you ascend to the stars and enjoy views of Earth, then you are seated near massive windows that allow you to actually dine among the stars while enjoying the most delicious, cosmic flavors. Food options are endless at Disney, and available for any budget. There are many quick-service options available at all parks, where you can order via the Disney World or Disneyland app and pick-up at a designated time to avoid waiting in yet another line. The food is yummy at every park and fits every taste for every person both young and young at heart.
Disney delivers on resort amenities as well. You can choose from value resorts, to moderate, to deluxe. Each resort provides free Disney transportation to parks and resorts (bus, monorail, Skyliner, and boat). Early entry to each park, 30 minutes prior to general admission. These extra minutes provide time for the best photo ops; not only is the morning light perfect for the most magical shot in front of Cinderella's Castle, but you can get first in-line-dibs to enter the park and race to your first ride of the day (Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, Tower of Terror or Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run are some of my favorite first rides at Hollywood Studios, or Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest or DINOSAUR at Animal Kingdom). Being a guest at a Disney resort also provides early access to booking your table-service dining reservations and Genie + booking (the new Fast Pass). Staying on-site at Disney is really what completes the Disney-bubble and keeps you living in the magic for your entire vacation. It is my personal favorite, and I will always encourage everyone to stay on site to experience the pure magic of the Disney-bubble.
Every moment is magical at Disney. If you're meeting Mickey for the first time, or the 100th time, it's a special moment that is cherished forever. The magic is real, and abundant at Disney, where every trip is filled with laughter, connection, and joy. It is one of the happiest places on Earth and I would love to help plan your most magical trip. And as Mickey would say, "See ya real soon!".

Costa Rica is bursting with so many natural wonders, unforgettable adventures and Pura Vida (Pure Life, as the locals lovingly say). It's a place to get lost in wonder and reconnect with nature. Settled between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, Costa Rica is a haven of world-class beaches, an abundance of wildlife, lush rainforests, and six active volcanoes. This Central American gem is a living, breathing, full-sensory experience unlike any other destination on Earth. Spending any amount of time in Costa Rica is never enough.
Two of the most heart-pounding adventure opportunities Costa Rica offers are ziplining and hiking one of over 60 volcanoes that shape the landscape; including an active volcano for those looking for the utmost adventure. The most famous volcano in Costa Rica is the Arenal Volcano, and Arenal Volcano National Park allows you to get up close and personal to the infamous volcano. The park also offers options to hike ancient lava flow fields, soak in nearby hot springs, and even explore gorgeous waterfalls. After your adventure through the park, you can sit and enjoy a meal or drink at the Lava '68 Café and take in all that you accomplished in the day. The panoramic views of the Arenal Volcano and the lake are breathtaking, and definitely worth the stop to breathe and appreciate Costa Rica a little more. The other iconic thrill of Costa Rica is seeing through the eyes of a toucan; by ziplining through the treetops! There are many locations that offer this adrenaline rush and you can even zip line at Arenal Volcano, but my favorite is superman style at Diamante Eco Adventure Park. The mile long zip line over the rainforest, all while providing the absolute best views of the Pacific Ocean is just stunning. You get the best of both worlds; seeing the rainforest from above along with a view of the ocean, all while flying like superman. A definite bucket-list moment!
The untamed nature of Costa Rica is home to over 500,000 species of wildlife, and is why it is called the "wildlife capital of Central America". Nearly 25% of the country is protected parkland, making it a dream for any type of animal or nature lover alike. Not to mention the world-class sportfishing opportunities in both the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea. The biodiversity of Costa Rica is unmatched. The lush rainforests are home to howler monkeys (the loudest mammal on Earth), spider and capuchin monkeys, toucans and macaws, and a favorite of all: the three-toed sloth. Not to mention some of the tiniest dwellers, the red-eyed tree frogs and poison dart frogs. There are also over 1,200 species of butterflies that call Costa Rica home, including my favorite, the brilliant blue morpho. The fishing opportunities abound year-round off the east and west coasts and whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned pro, the fish are biting. Sailfish, mahi-mahi, marlin, yellowfin tuna and roosterfish are the most sought after on the Pacific side. And tarpon and snook are most popular on the Caribbean side.
Costa Rica is special in that it offers two coasts, with over 800 miles of coastline to choose from. The beaches are as diverse as the country itself and range from white sand relaxation, to surf-ready waves pounding on to black sand beaches surrounded by the rainforest. There is a beach for every person and every occasion, whether you're looking for a surf town with golden sunsets, a remote yoga paradise on the sand, laid-back vibes with reefs available to snorkel just offshore, or protected turtle nesting grounds to watch the little hatchlings hatch. The beach options are nearly endless and are all beautiful to behold.
The warm hearts of the Costa Rican people show their love best (in my opinion) in the way they provide the freshest tropical food, and coffee. Coffee isn't just a drink in Costa Rica, it's a key part of the country's history and identity. The coffee beans grown in Costa Rica are known for their smooth, bright flavor, with notes of chocolate, citrus and tropical fruit. Grown in rich volcanic soil, at high altitudes, Costa Rican coffee is some of the most sought after single-origin coffee in the world. You can't go wrong with any cup of coffee here, it's the love of a country in a cup.
Costa Rica isn't just a beautiful country full of adventure and relaxation, it is a way of life that reminds you to slow down, breathe deeply and enjoy the sounds and landscapes around you. Costa Rica is Pura Vida.

Chicago, the Windy City, where bold architecture meets soulful jazz and deep-dish delights. Chicago is a city pulsing with an attitude that is equal parts grit and style. Nestled on the windy shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago is a dynamic blend of rich history, cultural vibrancy, and Midwest charm. From the towering skyline dominated by the Willis Tower and 875 North Michigan Avenue, to the artistic sprawl of Millennium Park, Chicago is a constant buzz of creativity and energy.
Chicago's skyline alone is something to admire, from the ground, river or above. Once the world's tallest building, the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower), offers views from the 103rd floor. Showing off its bold skyline against the beautiful blues of Lake Michigan. Chicago's other iconic skyscraper, 875 North Michigan Avenue (formerly the John Hancock Center), also offers views from above with an option to sit and sip at CloudBar while taking in the striking views. I enjoy both views, but 875 North Michigan Avenue is right on the Magnificent Mile. And who doesn't love a little shopping, or even window shopping before taking in sky high views? One of my favorite ways to view the city is from the Chicago River on an architecture river boat cruise. The views are unparalleled and the knowledge shared about the structural innovations and even social history of the city is awe-inspiring.
Museums, music and theatre fill the streets of Chicago. From Museum Campus, which is home to the Adler Planetarium (my favorite view of the city), the Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum of Natural History, to the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA). Each stop gives a new perspective and provides an opportunity to learn and grow. The music scene of Chicago deserves a full book! From the birth of blues, to the soulful jazz ensembles, to the festivals that take over the summer. My favorite blues club is Kingston Mines in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Music is a fundamental part of Chicago and you feel it at every turn. It's too hard to pin down a favorite festival, as there are festivals happening in almost every neighborhood, every weekend, all summer long, but the most famous is Lollapalooza. Spanning a four-day weekend at the end of July, with over 170 artists performing on eight stages, this musical celebration draws a global crowd and is an experience of its own. Chicago's theatre scene is renowned. The Goodman Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare Theater offer classical and modern productions, while the Steppenwolf Theatre and the Tricycle Theatre spotlight new dramatic voices. Improv thrives all over the city, and most iconically at Second City, which is the cradle of Saturday Night Live talent. Meanwhile dance companies, ballet, and the symphony round out offerings at the Auditorium Theatre.
Chicago is full of excitement and sports, sports, sports. You name it, and Chicago has a team for you. Whether it's American Football - you've got da Bears, Hockey - you've got the Blackhawks, Basketball - you've got the Bulls, and Baseball even gives you two options in the same city - the White Sox or the Cubs (who play at historic Wrigley Field). Not to mention, Chicago is host to many other sports teams to cheer on as well.
Chicago is synonymous with food passion, and is my very favorite thing about this city. You can go from indulging in comforting Chicago staples like Italian beef sandwiches, a Chicago-style hot dog or deep dish pizza, to to high-end Michelin-starred or bib-starred excellence in one day. Chicago is brimming with mouth-watering, global flavors. Any cuisine you crave, you will find in Chicago, and leave feeling oh-so-satisfied.
Chicago is a city you will want to return to again and again. There is never enough time spent exploring, eating, listening to music, and taking in the views. It's a city that keeps calling you back, to become a part of its energy and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Bali is an absolute dream come true, and I did not want to leave! Bali is a lush paradise where wild adventure meets spiritual serenity. Whether your perfect wake-up consists of sun salutations under the swaying palms, listening to surf-ready waves while sipping Kopi Luwak coffee, or heading out for a hidden jungle trek, Bali is waiting for you. Flying into Denpasar International Airport I already knew Bali had my heart, but as soon as I deplaned and traveled south to the Bukit peninsula, I knew I would forever be in awe and in love.
The sun soaked beaches of Bali are unmatched. From black sand beaches, to soft white sand beaches with hidden coves, to the always jaw dropping turquoise waters, every beach is ready to entice. Not to mention the surf-ready waves of Canggu where even the beginner of beginners can feel like a pro to the world-class breaks of Uluwatu. Surfing in Bali creates a rhythm to life that stays in your soul.
The emerald rice terraces of Ubud are brilliant, living, breathing landscapes that stop you in your tracks. Carved into the hillsides of the island, these rice paddies offer a look into the hum of daily life on Bali. The layered green stairways stretch for miles and miles and offer a sense of peace and timelessness. A hike among the paddies, or a bike along the paddies will leave you feeling grounded and connected. It can also lead you to a traditional Balinese cooking class where you harvest straight from the fields. A cooking class in Bali is unlike any other cooking class. The knowledge from the chef, the feeling of making food straight from the earth, it becomes the most delicious wonder.
Bali can be a destination of relaxation and reflection, but it can also be a destination of adventure and thrills. After surfing, white water rafting is the next best adventure (in my opinion) on the island. The Ayung River is perfect for beginners, and novices as well. Seeing the island from the water is an experience I encourage everyone to partake in. And a white water raft is one of the best modes of transportation.
Monkeys are considered sacred animals in Balinese Hinduism. Often associated with protection, mischief, and divine presence, they are especially revered in temple settings, like the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud or the Uluwatu Temple, where they are believed to guard the spirits of the temple. The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a place that feels both wild and spiritual. The monkeys are wild, yet they observe and play with you. Not only will they taunt and take free hanging or standing items, but they will steady and calm you. These spiritual mammals are seen as sacred guardians, reminders to all of the delicate balance between spirit, nature and everyday life.
Bali is more than just a destination, it’s a feeling. Whether you're seeking a sun drenched relaxed vacation, a spiritual connection with morning flows, afternoons spent observing monkeys, or hiking in the jungle and emerging refreshed and ready to start cooking; Bali is ready, and waiting for you.

Ireland is magical! From the first time I visited this enchanting island, I knew it would hold a very special place in my heart. The scenic landscape of Ireland is stunning and perfect for road trips, which offer stops along the dramatic coastal cliffs to breathe in the sea air and photograph the beauty around you. My favorite drive is around the Dingle Peninsula where dazzling sights meet you at every turn, and the fishing village of Dingle is so quaint, you will want to spend more than a couple hours getting lost.
Dublin's vibrant city life gives plenty of traditional Irish music and lots of laughter at every cozy pub you stumble across; which comes along with the most welcoming and hospitable people. The Irish are so delightful and full of life and stories that you can easily sit for hours just listening. Nestling up at a snug table in The Temple Bar is a must-do. The vibrant red and black facade with cascading flowers, is, in itself, a sight to see. My drink of choice is always an Irish Coffee, with Jameson Whiskey of course!
Driving, biking or hiking around the countryside to see the many ancient castles nestled in rolling green hills with sheep to be spotted for days, is a fun way to get lost and explore the heart of Ireland. Ireland offers an unforgettable journey with each and every visit. Whether you're tracing your family roots (as I have started to do), exploring the lively streets of Dublin (one of my very favorite cities in the world), or marveling at the natural beauty of the Cliffs of Moher (absolutely breathtaking), Ireland promises charm, history, and hospitality at every turn.
Ireland boasts over 400 golf clubs, which include one third of the world's natural links courses. You can very easily understand why it is one of the top golf destinations in the world. You can choose to tee off by the sea, or in the heart of the lush countryside.
Stepping back in time to explore the Blarney Castle in Cork, and even kissing the infamous Blarney Stone to receive the mystical gift of eloquence is an experience I encourage everyone who travels to Ireland to take. I believe I received this eloquent gift, however, perhaps my partner disagrees.
A tour of the exquisite House of Waterford is as divine as the fine crystal they create. Watching the artisans create works of art into the crystal feels like watching magic. And then topping off the tour with tea at the House of Waterford is a wonderful way to unwind and take in the beauty of the Waterford crystal.
Having the chance to stay one night, or many, in an Irish castle is an opportunity not to pass up either! My favorite being the Ashford Castle in Galway. It is luxury at its finest and will leave you feeling spoiled and never wanting to leave. An option to go horse back riding around the castle property makes the experience of staying in an Irish castle all the more medieval and enchanting (my horses name was Spruce, and he was delightful).
Ireland is full of magic and wonder, and a destination I encourage everyone to explore.

Tulum offers plenty of stunning coastal views with an ocean breeze that is intoxicating. It's a place that you want to stay and watch the ocean forever. Tulum was one of the very last cities that was inhabited by the Mayan people, and a buzzing hub of goods and wealth; exporting jade and obsidian. Today, Tulum provides a plethora of beach resorts from minimalist, to all-inclusive, to eco-conscious luxury.
You will feel a connection to nature and history while relaxing, or exploring the coastal charm of Tulum, that will stay with you for a lifetime. Tulum provides a playful blend of laid-back luxury and bohemian charm, especially along the beach road where quaint, boutique hotels, open-air restaurants (so yummy), and yoga studios thrive amid the jungle.
One of Tulum's most notable highlights is the Tulum Ruins, set atop a cliff above the Caribbean Sea. The setting of the turquoise waters and ancient temples, makes the site truly memorable. Moving a little more inland, cenotes like Gran Cenote and Cenote Calavera provide incredible opportunities for swimming and snorkeling in pristine, crystal-clear waters. An experience I will never forget. Being able to snorkel into a cave, not knowing what is coming the further you snorkel is thrilling, in every sense of the word. Downtown Tulum offers a local, more relaxed vibe with the most delicious restaurants. The food is not to be overlooked while in Tulum, which is more centered around organic, locally sourced ingredients.
The further north you move toward Playa del Carmen, you come across Xcaret Park which is one of the eco-parks around Riviera Maya and is not to be missed. There are underground rivers to snorkel and swim in, a butterfly pavilion, a Coral Reef Aquarium, Mexican Folk Art Museum and the "Bridge to Paradise" Mexican cemetery, a walk that is truly special and deeply moving, among other attractions.
About an hour's drive north of Tulum is Playa del Carmen, another favorite city of mine in Mexico's Riviera Maya. Playa del Carmen delivers on the energy! While Tulum is easy-going, Playa del Carmen is playful and lively, drawing each and every type of traveler to the hub of the city, La Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue). Playa del Carmen offers every type of accomodation, for every type of traveler. From budget friendly, to all-inclusive, to beachfront luxury.
My favorite part of Playa del Carmen is the food, especially the Yucatán-style tacos, so, so good! Street food stalls abound and you cannot go wrong with any option, especially any of the local favorites such as: cochinita pibil (slow-roasted pork), elotes (grilled corn with chili and lime, one of my favorites), and tamarind-flavored aguas frescas (Mexican drink made with tamarind, water and sugar, very refreshing).
One of the most impressive sights I have seen in my travels is Chichén Itzá. Almost a three hour drive from Tulum, or a little over two hours from Playa del Carmen, Chichén Itzá is an incredible sight to behold. UNESCO has named Chichén Itzá one of the new 7 Wonders of the World, and I can promise it does not disappoint. These Mayan Ruins are magnificent and spectacular. There are truly not enough adjectives to describe how incredible this archeological site is.
Whether you’re looking for relaxation, adventure, or cultural discovery, Mexico's Riviera Maya region has something to offer every type of traveler.

Stepping foot on Icelandic soil is like stepping on another planet. Where glacial landscapes meet volcanic landscapes, waterfalls crash beside black sand beaches, and the night skies come alive with brilliant auroras. I have never felt so curious, inspired and awestruck as I have in Iceland. The raw beauty of this island is otherworldly and adventure awaits you at every turn.
One of Iceland's most famous stops is the Blue Lagoon, and I can tell you, after a long flight, it's worth a stop to soak in its milky blue waters and let your skin rejuvenate in the soothing silica, algae, and minerals it provides. The water averages around 37–39°C (98–102°F), and the contrast between the warm, steaming water and the often chilly Icelandic air makes for an incredibly relaxing experience. Although the Blue Lagoon is Iceland's most iconic geothermal spa, other natural hot springs like Mývatn Nature Baths and Seljavallalaug are also just as relaxing and invigorating.
Another iconic Iceland sight is the Hallgrimskirkja Church. A peaceful stroll down the main shopping street in Reykjavik, Skolavordustigur Street, brings you to this stunning, and towering church. It is the tallest building in Iceland, and the views at the top are absolutely breathtaking. Especially if it's a clear day, I would always recommend purchasing a ticket to reach the top of the tower to see Reykjavik from the sky. It's such a colorful and beautiful city along the coast.
Iceland offers one of the world's best road trips: Ring Road (Route 1). It circles the entire island and is the main highway, spanning 821 miles (1322 kilometers). The experience of driving the Ring Road will show you the full scope of what Iceland has to offer while providing the ultimate adventure. A fast paced drive, hitting the major stops can take about 7 days, but if you're ready for a more immersive and relaxed road trip, plan for about 10-14 days. Taking in the power Iceland has to offer via the Ring Road is truly unforgettable.
One of the major stops that I loved, are the Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Truly powerful waterfalls you can view from afar, or up as close as walking behind the impressive falling water. Please note: you will get wet! But it's worth it, I promise.
Another stop the Ring Road offers that left me in awe, is the Sólheimajökull Glacier. Iceland is known as the land of Fire and Ice, and a hike, or ice climbing on a glacier is an absolute bucket list moment. Joining a tour is the best way to be able to experience this glacier to the fullest, using crampons and ice axes. The contrast of the white ice, black volcanic ash and bright blue crevasses is remarkable. Learning about Iceland's glacial landscape, while on a glacier is an experience that sits with you in a lasting and impressionable way.
Iceland offers so many bucket list moments, that you might check off most of your list! Another such item is snorkeling or diving in the Silfra Fissure. The Silfra Fissure is the only place on earth that you can swim between two tectonic plates, the North American and Eurasian plates. The most extraordinary crystal-clear, blue waters (3rd clearest in the world), are unbelievable to see, and snorkeling in the near freezing temperatures almost feels like a dreamland. The dry suits you wear to snorkel or dive in the fissure keep you surprisingly warm, so you can truly focus on the beauty of the dramatic underwater geology.
My favorite Iceland bucket list moment however, are the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). It is one of the most magical experiences you can have. The way the lights dance across the sky is a mesmerizing sight to behold. Iceland offers easily accessible locations to view these dynamic and if you're lucky, vivid lights. Iceland is an absolute bucket list destination, with exquisite, almost surreal landscapes and adventure opportunities that are truly unmatched.

We had an absolutely amazing time on our first cruise to the Bahamas! As first timers, we weren't sure what cruise line to choose or how long we wanted to go for, especially traveling with our 1 yr old. Kristin helped us narrow down the perfect cruise and it was so wonderful! She helped us with shore excursions and helped us with the timing of when we needed to be in Miami to make sure we made it on to the ship on time. Everything went so smooth and there is nothing like that crystal clear blue water! We can't wait to go on another cruise, maybe next time without our young child :)
We haven’t been to Vegas in years, so we reached out to Kristin she did an awesome job planning our Vegas trip for me, my wife, and our friends! She helped us coordinate the long weekend with swanky rooms, cabanas at the pool, dinner overlooking the Bellagio fountains, drinks at hidden speakeasies around a concert at the Sphere. Everything went smoothly, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. She helped us maximize our time and it was unforgettable. Highly recommend working with Kristin!
Kristin was amazing to work with! She helped us plan our 10-year anniversary trip to Costa Rica and made everything super easy. She was always quick to respond and had great ideas for things to do. The trip turned out perfect—we got to visit some awesome towns, go zip lining, and even do a fishing trip. Everything went smoothly, and we didn’t have to stress about a thing. If you’re looking for someone to help plan a fun, stress-free trip, I’d definitely recommend Kristin!
Kristin was excellent in assisting me to with not the initial booking for safe and reliable transportation, but she was also most help by assisting me to make changes to the pickup times during the weekend and late at night as well. I definitely recommend choosing Kristen for help you plan out your next vacation as she doesn't just do a great job finding you safe and reliable booking, but assisting in modification during the middle of the vacation as well. Definitely had a peace of mind on vacation knowing that she was reliable for me when I needed it during vacation.
From the moment we started planning, Kristin was incredibly attentive and very detail-oriented. She listened to what we wanted most: relaxation, great food, and a bit of adventure, and she delivered on all fronts! We were celebrating my boyfriend's 30th birthday and wanted to do something special. This trip was amazing and Kristin took care of it all. The all-inclusive resort she recommended was beautiful! The restaurants on site were so delicious and the beach and pools were incredible. It was exactly what we wanted! Kristin also booked us a day trip to explore cenotes and Mayan ruins, which was just the right amount of adventure for us. She was so helpful and thought of everything for us! We loved working with her and will definitely use her in the future!!
Kristin found us the best place to stay on the beach for a week in June. She was able to reserve a rental car for us so we could get around the surrounding Keys too. Her recommendation of taking our family to the Mote Aquarium on Lido Key was a total hit! Our kids loved both campuses and especially seeing the sharks, turtles and manatees up close. Kristin had some great restaurant recommendations for us as well during our stay and lots of ice cream options, which were another big hit with the kids! Siesta Key is beautiful, the sand is so white and soft and the water is so clear and every shade of blue-green. It was an amazing trip and our family loved our week spent together relaxing. Kristin helped ensure our trip went smoothly from start to finish, she was amazing! Thank you!
Kristin did an amazing job creating and planning our best trip to Disney World Ever. The trip was with Two Grandparents, Two Parents and Three Grandchildren of various ages which included 5 parks, and two beach days. So it was quite complex bringing all the pieces together for everyone to be exciting, fun, and stress free. Her inside information from traveling there several times made a huge difference in helping us navigate the best resort, fast pass methods and what rides to do when, beach day suggestion and getting the cabana for our beach day. The pre-planning of our specialty meals, including character breakfast and venue dining suggestions was so very important. Finally, because of her organization and attention to detail, we knew where to be when and got to relax and enjoy every bit of our Best Disney World Trip Ever.
Kristin planned exactly what we wanted. She took our ideas and then organized, planned, contacted the right people (for hotel which was on site, restaurants, passes for rides, and even a gazebo). She made our vacation an experience of a life time. It was so stress free and really, really enjoyable. She did a lot of work and she was kind, available, and easy to talk to and really listened to what we wanted to do. I would recommend her in a minute!
We just got back from the most incredible trip to Iceland, all thanks to Kristin! She planned everything perfectly — from lounging in the Blue Lagoon, chasing the northern lights, to hiking across a glacier, to snorkeling between the tectonic plates (yes, it was as unreal as it sounds!). As a couple, we were looking for something adventurous but still romantic, and Kristin totally nailed the vibe. She handled all the logistics, gave us awesome local tips, and built an itinerary that balanced exploration with downtime. We never felt rushed or overwhelmed — just excited and in awe the whole time. Iceland is pure magic, and Kristin made sure we experienced the very best of it. We can’t wait to plan our next adventure with he

From the moment we reached out, she was attentive, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about making our experience special. She made the whole process easy and stress-free, and we felt completely taken care of the entire time.
