Croatia felt like it was pulled straight out of a movie—almost like living inside a cinematic piece—especially because so much of it is tied to Mamma Mia! and Game of Thrones, which was one of the biggest reasons I wanted to visit in the first place. What surprised me most was how that cinematic magic led me to discover so much more: a country that feels modern and advanced, yet deeply respectful of its ancient roots, preserving original architecture and natural beauty in the most effortless way.
Dubrovnik was unforgettable. As a Game of Thrones fan who loves the fantasy era, walking through the Old Town felt surreal. This was King’s Landing—not a set, but a real place. I wandered slowly through the limestone streets, exploring museums and stepping into historic churches, admiring the centuries-old architecture that gave the city its dramatic presence long before the cameras arrived. Between exploring, I stopped at small cafés tucked away in quiet corners, enjoying a glass of wine while taking in views of the Adriatic and the city walls.
On the island of Vis, everything softened. In Komiža, where Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was filmed, the atmosphere felt light, warm, and effortlessly joyful. I strolled along the harbor, watched the boats drift in and out, and took my time discovering nearby coves and beaches. Meals here were simple but memorable—fresh seafood, local olive oil, and wine enjoyed slowly, with nowhere to rush to. The island felt preserved, cinematic, and deeply authentic all at once.
In Split, history and everyday life blended seamlessly. Exploring the ancient palace at the center of the city felt like walking through a living museum. I spent time visiting churches, admiring the original stonework, and learning more through local museums. This was also where my love for food truly came alive—tasting regional wines, sampling olive oil, and enjoying European-style dishes that felt rooted in tradition rather than trend. What made Croatia so special was its balance. It gave me the fantasy and cinematic moments I came for, but also revealed a deeper beauty—ancient architecture, natural landscapes, rich food traditions, and a way of preserving the past while still moving forward. It was immersive, authentic, and unforgettable.

Italy has always felt like a country with layers waiting to be discovered. My first trip was with my high school history class, and it was entirely educational — we spent our days in Rome, moving from the Colosseum to the Roman Forum, standing beneath the vast dome of the Pantheon, and even briefly visiting the Vatican. At the time, it was impressive, monumental, and fascinating, but I hadn't yet experienced the city beyond its historic landmarks.
When I returned as an adult, Italy revealed a different side. My second visit to Rome allowed me to explore without a schedule, linger in small Cafés, and enjoy the rhythm of daily life. I ventured beyond the main tourist areas into Lazio, discovering quieter neighborhoods, coastal stretches, and countryside roads where locals live and unwind. It was then that I understood how Rome is not only a city of history but also a place that lives and breathes today.
Tuscany is a place I will return to again and again. As a food and wine lover, I am drawn to its rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, and farm-to-table culture. Each day follows a familiar rhythm: a few days in the cities — Florence or Siena— then most of my time spent in the countryside, fully immersed in the flavors and landscapes that define the region. One of my most memorable experiences was a winery lunch and tasting, seated at long tables overlooking endless rows of vines. Sipping bold reds and savoring meals made from locally grown ingredients, I felt fully present in a landscape shaped by centuries of care.
Tuscany also offered unique adventures like olive oil tasting, where I learned to distinguish fresh, peppery notes, and truffle hunting, walking through wooded hills as trained dogs sniffed beneath the earth. Farm life was ever-present — sheep grazing in fields, and cats lounging in the sun near stone farmhouses. There’s a rhythm here that slows you down and makes you notice the small, beautiful details of life.
Sicily brought a different kind of magic — vibrant, bold, and unforgettable. Its beauty lies both in ancient architecture and natural landscapes. From baroque churches in Noto, historic towns perched on cliffs, and centuries-old stone buildings, volcanic mountains, and dramatic coastlines, the island is a feast for the eyes. The food alone is remarkable — fresh seafood, sun-ripened citrus, handmade pasta, and desserts that taste of sunshine. I visited small producers for wine and olive oil tastings, discovering wines grown in volcanic soil and oils pressed just hours before tasting. Exploring the Sicilian countryside, I watched farm animals roam freely and wandered through olive groves and orchards. And then there were the beaches — stretches of sand and sparkling water that instantly reminded me of the Mediterranean, where the sea meets dramatic cliffs and hidden coves.
Beyond Sicily, I’ve also been captivated by Sardinia, whose coastline feels like a painter’s dream. In Sardinia, the experience became sensory and coastal. Days were shaped by turquoise water and quiet beaches, evenings by meals that felt both simple and special. I still remember eating handcrafted local pasta, seafood enjoyed near the shore, gelato melting a little too fast under the sun, and ending the night sipping mirto and limoncello as the sky softened. It was effortless, joyful, and deeply satisfying.
Each visit I made to Italy I discovered a different a region: a few days in the cities to soak in history and culture, then the rest of the time in the countryside or along the coast, fully immersed in local flavors, landscapes, and life. From walking through Rome’s ancient monuments and briefly visiting the Vatican, to tasting wine and hunting truffles in Tuscany, to savoring Sicilian food and its stunning architecture and natural beauty, to discovering Sardinia’s pristine coastline, these experiences have shaped my love for the country.
Italy doesn’t just offer sights to see — it teaches a way of living. One that encourages you to slow down, savor deeply, and notice beauty in both the grand and the simple. That is what keeps calling me back.

I travel to France several times a year, and yet it never feels familiar in the way you might expect. Each return offers a new rhythm, a new flavor, and a new reason to fall in love all over again. Over the years, France has become more than a destination to me — it’s a place where I feel connected. I have close friends who live in Paris, which has given me countless opportunities to experience the city beyond the surface. While I deeply appreciate Paris and all of its energy and elegance, I’ve found myself continually drawn to the rest of the country — to the countryside, the quieter regions, and the more intimate places where life unfolds at a gentler pace.
One of my most memorable journeys began in Dijon, the heart of Burgundy. There’s a quiet confidence to this city — historic streets, honey-colored buildings, and a deep respect for craftsmanship. Food here isn’t just eaten; it’s celebrated. I spent an afternoon at a local farm-to-table restaurant, tucked just beyond the city center, where nearly every ingredient came from nearby farms. The menu reflected the season, and each dish felt intentional and rooted in place. Sitting at the table, I felt a genuine connection not just to the food, but to the land and the people who cultivate it.
From Dijon, wine became a natural continuation of the journey. My first wine tour took me through Burgundy’s famed vineyards, where rows of vines stretch across rolling hills and winemakers speak passionately about soil, climate, and time. Tasting wine here felt deeply personal — each glass carrying generations of knowledge and a precise sense of place.
Later, I traveled to the Loire Valley, where my second wine experience offered an entirely different perspective. The landscape softened, the air felt lighter, and vineyards unfolded alongside the river. Wine tastings often took place in centuries-old cellars beneath elegant châteaux, where history and craftsmanship coexist seamlessly. Between vineyard visits, I wandered through charming towns, enjoyed long, unhurried lunches, and took in the beauty of a region that seems designed to slow you down.
The journey eventually led me south to Nice, where France meets the Mediterranean. The shift in atmosphere was immediate — brighter days, coastal breezes, and an effortless rhythm of life. I spent mornings along the water, afternoons exploring local markets and the old town, and evenings watching the sun sink into the sea. Nice embodies a balance of sophistication and ease, where beauty is woven into everyday life.
Traveling through Dijon, the Loire Valley, and Nice once again reminded me why I continue to return to France. It’s a country defined by contrast and cohesion — where food, wine, history, and landscape come together in a way that feels both refined and deeply human. Whether you’re savoring a farm-to-table meal, discovering wine across distinct regions, wandering castle-lined valleys, or soaking in Mediterranean sunsets, France doesn’t just welcome you — it stays with you.

I have always been drawn to the Mediterranean, and Greece is a destination that truly captures the imagination. I’ve explored the islands of Santorini and Ios with one of my best friends, experiencing firsthand the unique beauty, culture, and luxury that make Greece unforgettable. From Santorini’s iconic white-and-blue cliffs to Ios’s golden-sand beaches, the islands offer breathtaking coastlines, crystal-clear waters, and a sense of paradise that feels both exclusive and inviting.
In Santorini, we stayed in a luxurious oceanview suite, waking up to stunning vistas of the Aegean Sea and exploring charming villages along the cliffs. The volcanic beaches, sun-drenched terraces, and vibrant bougainvillea make the scenery unforgettable. On Ios, we stayed in a cliffside retreat with panoramic views over the sparkling sea. Ios offers golden beaches, hidden coves, and playful yet sophisticated energy, and it’s also known for its vibrant nightlife, making it a perfect blend of relaxation by day and lively entertainment by night. The locals are warm, welcoming, and proud of their culture, always eager to share traditions, cuisine, and stories with travelers.
One of the highlights of Santorini was a wine tour. Greek wine is distinct from other European wines, with indigenous grapes, unique names, and a different crafting process. My favorite was Vinsanto, a sweet dessert wine from the island that perfectly captures its sun-soaked character. Pairing these wines with fresh, bold local dishes creates an experience unlike anywhere else in Europe and shows how deeply wine is woven into Greek culture.
I’ve also had the privilege of professionally planning trips for clients. One of my favorites was a client’s 30th birthday girls’ getaway in Mykonos, where I booked a private yacht for the day, allowing the group to sail the turquoise waters, enjoy wine and snacks on board, and experience the island’s beauty and energy. Mykonos is one of the most sought-after destinations in the Mediterranean, and being able to deliver a seamless, luxurious experience for my client was incredibly rewarding.
Greece is a destination that combines history, culture, natural beauty, and luxury. From Santorini’s dramatic cliffs to Ios’s golden beaches and nightlife, and Mykonos’s sparkling energy, the islands are dotted with exquisite accommodations, high-end restaurants with breathtaking views, and experiences that feel curated just for you. With firsthand experience traveling here and professionally creating dream trips, I know how to guide travelers to the best the islands have to offer, ensuring every moment feels effortless, luxurious, and unforgettable.
The Greek islands aren’t just places to visit—they’re places to experience, savor, and remember. Whether exploring Santorini, lounging on Ios, sailing in Mykonos, or enjoying a curated luxury escape in Crete, Greece captivates all the senses. It’s easy to see why it remains one of the world’s most desirable destinations, and why travelers return again and again.
