Iceland Travel Agent Expert

Iceland is a land of stunning contrasts, where fire and ice coexist, and dramatic landscapes stretch as far as the eye can see. Traveling through Iceland offers breathtaking scenery, unique cultural experiences, and opportunities for adventure at every turn. Most travelers explore Iceland via the Ring Road (Route 1), a highway that circles the country, covering about 1,322 kilometers (820 miles). Renting a car or campervan is the best way to experience the country at your own pace. In winter, four-wheel-drive vehicles are recommended due to icy conditions, while in summer, even a standard car can handle the well-maintained roads. For those who prefer not to drive, guided tours are available, offering everything from multi-day excursions to day trips from Reykjavik. Public buses connect major towns, but they are less frequent and not ideal for remote areas.

Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital, is a vibrant city known for its colorful buildings, creative arts scene, and cozy cafes. From here, many visitors take the classic Golden Circle route, which includes Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The route also features the Geysir Geothermal Area, home to the famous Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes, and Gullfoss Waterfall, a massive, two-tiered waterfall that roars with immense power.

The South Coast is one of Iceland’s most accessible and stunning regions, featuring breathtaking waterfalls such as Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, where visitors can walk behind the cascading water or climb a staircase for panoramic views. The black sand beach of Reynisfjara is famous for its towering basalt columns and powerful waves, while Vatnajökull National Park offers glaciers, ice caves, and the stunning Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where icebergs drift toward the sea.

The eastern fjords offer quiet fishing villages, scenic drives, and wildlife sightings, including puffins and reindeer. In the north, Akureyri, Iceland’s second-largest city, serves as a gateway to the spectacular landscapes of Lake Mývatn, a geothermal wonderland with bubbling mud pools and lava formations. Húsavík, known as the whale-watching capital of Iceland, provides an opportunity to spot humpback and even blue whales in the surrounding waters.

For those seeking off-the-beaten-path adventures, the Westfjords and Snæfellsnes Peninsula offer remote and rugged beauty. The Westfjords are characterized by dramatic fjords, steep cliffs, and natural hot springs, while the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, often called "Iceland in Miniature," showcases volcanoes, black beaches, and the iconic Kirkjufell Mountain.

Iceland is also known for its unique experiences. Beyond the famous Blue Lagoon, visitors can soak in natural hot springs such as the Secret Lagoon, Mývatn Nature Baths, or the wild geothermal pools of Reykjadalur. Winter travelers have the chance to witness the Northern Lights, with peak viewing from September to April. For outdoor enthusiasts, Iceland offers countless hiking opportunities, including the renowned Laugavegur Trek and glacier hikes on Sólheimajökull.

Choosing the best time to visit depends on the experience you seek. Summer (June-August) offers long daylight hours, mild weather, and ideal conditions for road trips. Winter (November-March) brings a chance to see the Northern Lights, though snow and limited daylight can impact travel. The shoulder seasons of April-May and September-October offer fewer crowds and a mix of winter and summer landscapes.

Iceland captivates travelers with its raw beauty and wild spirit. Whether you're road-tripping around the island, hiking volcanic trails, or relaxing in geothermal pools, every moment in Iceland feels like an adventure.

Republic of Georgia Travel Expert

Between Europe and Asia, the Republic of Georgia is a country of breathtaking contrasts: a land where ancient traditions meet modern energy, where snow-capped mountains give way to subtropical coasts. Though small in size, Georgia offers an astonishing variety of landscapes, cultures, and experiences that make it one of the most enchanting destinations in the Caucasus.

We begin in Tbilisi, the vibrant capital whose charm lies in its harmonious blend of old and new. The city’s winding cobblestone streets, colorful wooden balconies, and historic sulfur baths evoke a rich past shaped by Persian, Ottoman, and Russian influences. Above the old quarter rises the Narikala Fortress, offering sweeping views over the Mtkvari River. Yet amid its ancient churches and narrow alleys, Tbilisi pulses with creativity — modern cafés, street art, and trendy spaces like Fabrika reflect a young generation redefining the city’s identity.

Kakheti, in the east, is Georgia’s celebrated wine region, called the cradle of winemaking. With 8,000+ years of wine history, Georgia is considered one of the world’s oldest wine-producing nations. Visitors can tour vineyards where wine is still fermented in traditional clay vessels known as qvevri, sample local varieties like Saperavi and Rkatsiteli, and admire the stunning Alazani Valley framed by the snow-dusted peaks of the Caucasus Mountains. The hilltop town of Sighnaghi, known as the “City of Love,” enchants travelers with its cobblestone lanes, pastel houses, and romantic views.

The northern Kazbegi region beckons adventurers with some of Georgia’s most dramatic mountain scenery. Driving along Georgian Military Highway goes through deep gorges, medieval watchtowers, and alpine meadows before reaching Stepantsminda, a small town at the foot of Mount Kazbek. Towering above it is the Gergeti Trinity Church, one of Georgia’s most iconic landmarks, standing proudly against a backdrop of soaring peaks. In summer, hikers explore trails leading to waterfalls and glaciers; in winter, snow sports are available.

In the west, Kutaisi, one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, blends history with natural beauty. Its Bagrati Cathedral and Gelati Monastery — both UNESCO World Heritage Sites — stand as reminders of Georgia’s medieval Golden Age. Nearby, the Prometheus Cave and Okatse Canyon reveal an underground world of stalactites, rivers, and breathtaking rock formations. Further west, the coastal city of Batumi lines the shores of the Black Sea. Once a quiet port, Batumi has become a lively resort town known for its modern architecture, palm-lined boulevards, and bustling nightlife. The Batumi Botanical Garden and the moving Ali and Nino Statue make it a destination that balances natural beauty with artistic flair. Beyond the city, the Adjara Mountains offer lush trails, waterfalls, and small villages where visitors can savor traditional Adjarian dishes such as the famous khachapuri adjaruli, a boat-shaped bread filled with molten cheese, butter, and egg.

High in the northwest lies Svaneti, one of Georgia’s most remote and culturally rich regions. Guarded by the towering Caucasus Mountains, it is home to the Svan people, known for their unique traditions and ancient stone defense towers. The main village, Mestia, serves as a gateway to the UNESCO-listed Ushguli, one of the highest permanently inhabited settlements in Europe. The region’s rugged beauty — glaciers, alpine meadows, and medieval villages — makes it feel like a journey back in time.

The supra, or traditional Georgian feast, embodies the nation’s spirit of hospitality. Led by a tamada (toastmaster), a supra can last for hours, filled with heartfelt toasts, music, and laughter. The cuisine — rich, flavorful, and diverse — reflects the country’s varied geography and history. Staples like khinkali (spiced meat dumplings), badrijani (eggplant rolls with walnut paste), and pkhali (vegetable pâtés) showcase Georgia’s culinary artistry, often accompanied by generous pours of homemade wine.

Practical travel in Georgia is straightforward and rewarding. Minibuses called marshrutkas connect most cities and towns affordably, though renting a car or driver allows for more flexibility. The best times to visit are April to June and September to October, when the weather is pleasant and the landscapes are at their most vibrant. The local currency is the Georgian Lari (GEL), and while Georgian is the official language, many people in tourist areas speak some English or Russian. Above all, travelers will find Georgians to be warm, generous, and eager to share their culture — it’s not uncommon to be invited for wine or a home-cooked meal by complete strangers.

In the end, traveling throughout the Republic of Georgia is far more than a sightseeing trip — it’s an experience of deep connection, history, and heart. Whether in Svaneti, Kakheti, or on the Black Sea, Georgia’s beauty lingers long after you leave. Georgia captures your eyes an your soul.

Mexico Travel Agent Expert

Mexico offers a rich tapestry of history, culture, and natural beauty, making it one of the most captivating destinations for travelers and archaeology enthusiasts alike. From bustling urban centers to remote ruins hidden in the jungle, the country invites visitors to uncover layers of ancient civilizations while enjoying vibrant modern life.

At the heart of Mexico lies Mexico City, a sprawling metropolis built atop the ruins of Tenochtitlán, the capital of the Aztec Empire. The city's historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the majestic Metropolitan Cathedral and the ruins of the Templo Mayor stand side by side—a powerful symbol of Mexico’s layered past. The National Museum of Anthropology, one of the finest in the world, houses an extraordinary collection of artifacts from ancient Mesoamerican cultures, including the Aztec Sun Stone and treasures from Teotihuacan and the Maya world. Just outside the city, the ancient site of Teotihuacan is a must-visit. With its massive pyramids—the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon—Teotihuacan continues to mystify archaeologists. Walking the Avenue of the Dead offers a glimpse into one of the most powerful and enigmatic civilizations of pre-Hispanic America.

Traveling beyond Mexico City, the archaeological wonders expand. In the Yucatán Peninsula, Chichen Itzá, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, showcases Maya engineering and astronomical knowledge, particularly during the equinox serpent-shadow phenomenon on El Castillo pyramid. Nearby, the ruins of Uxmal and Ek Balam reveal distinct Puuc-style architecture and ornate carvings. Further south, in Chiapas, the jungle-shrouded ruins of Palenque tell the story of Maya kings through intricately carved stelae and temples, such as the Temple of the Inscriptions. The highland city of Monte Albán in Oaxaca offers panoramic views and insight into Zapotec culture, while Mitla reveals intricate mosaic fretwork unlike anything else in Mesoamerica.

Traveling through Mexico is more than just a vacation—it's a journey through time. Archaeological sites are often woven into the everyday lives of local communities, where traditions, language, and cuisine preserve a living heritage. Whether you're tracing the footsteps of the Maya, Aztecs, Zapotecs, or Olmecs, each destination offers not only monumental ruins but also the warmth and hospitality of the people who continue to call this land home.

Yellowstone National Park Travel Agent Expert

If you're dreaming of wide-open spaces, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable adventures, there's no place quite like Wyoming - and at its heart, Yellowstone National Park. As a travel agent who specializes in Western U.S. travel, I can tell you firsthand: this is a journey that stirs the soul. Yellowstone, America’s first national park, is a wonderland of geothermal activity, wildlife, and natural beauty. Geysers like Old Faithful and colorful hot springs like Grand Prismatic steal the show - but the park’s true magic lies in its diversity. One moment you're watching a herd of bison cross the road; the next, you're standing silently in the woods, hoping for a glimpse of a wolf or bear.

Beyond the park’s borders, Wyoming offers everything from rugged mountain towns to serene alpine lakes. Whether you're road tripping through the state or anchoring in Jackson Hole, there’s something here for every traveler. From the steaming geysers of the Upper Geyser Basin to the jaw-dropping views of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, each stop offers its own kind of awe. Just south of Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park stuns with its jagged peaks and mirror-like lakes. It’s the perfect destination for hiking, kayaking, photography, or simply soaking up the stillness of the wilderness.

A trip through Wyoming isn’t complete without visiting Jackson Hole - a charming mountain town with luxury lodges, world-class dining, and a perfect blend of Western heritage and modern adventure. If you’re up for a drive, don’t miss scenic routes like the Beartooth Highway and Chief Joseph Scenic Byway - two of the most breathtaking drives in America.

When planning your visit, late spring through early fall is the best time to go. June and September offer beautiful weather with fewer crowds. If you're hoping to stay in the park, lodges book quickly - ideally, you should reserve 6 to 12 months in advance. Nearby towns such as West Yellowstone, Gardiner, and Cody also provide excellent accommodations and easy access to the park. Pack layers (even summer mornings can be chilly), and don’t forget your camera, binoculars, and bear spray for hikes.

A well-paced itinerary might include three to five days in Yellowstone, two days in Grand Teton, and a few more exploring towns like Cody or Jackson Hole. Of course, I can help you craft the perfect trip based on your interests - whether that’s wildlife watching, fly-fishing, horseback riding, or scenic relaxation.

Planning a journey through Yellowstone and Wyoming can be overwhelming with so much to explore - but that’s where I come in. As a travel professional, I’ll handle the details from lodging to tours, so you can enjoy the adventure stress-free. Whether you're traveling solo, with a partner, or as a family, I’ll tailor your trip to fit your style and pace.

Hawaii Travel Agent Expert

Hawai‘i is a dream destination, offering breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and a unique blend of adventure and relaxation. Whether you're island-hopping, exploring lush rainforests, or lounging on pristine beaches, there's something for everyone. The state consists of six main islands open to visitors, each with its own distinct character.

O‘ahu, known as "The Gathering Place," is home to Honolulu, Waikiki Beach, and Pearl Harbor, blending urban energy with historic sites and outdoor adventures like hiking Diamond Head or surfing the North Shore. Maui, "The Valley Isle," is famous for the scenic Road to Hana, whale watching, and the stunning sunrise at Haleakala National Park. It also boasts luxurious resorts and some of Hawai‘i’s most beautiful beaches.

Hawai‘i Island, commonly called the Big Island, is the largest and most geologically diverse of all the islands. It features everything from lush rainforests to volcanic deserts. Visitors can explore Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, home to Kilauea and Mauna Loa, two of the world’s most famous volcanoes. The island also offers breathtaking black sand beaches at Punalu‘u, the stunning waterfalls of Hilo, and the clear waters of Kealakekua Bay, ideal for snorkeling and diving. The Big Island is also famous for Mauna Kea, the tallest mountain in the world when measured from its base on the ocean floor. A visit to the summit offers an unparalleled stargazing experience.

Kaua‘i, "The Garden Isle," is known for its dramatic Napali Coast cliffs, the Wailua River, and the breathtaking Waimea Canyon, often called the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific." For a quieter escape, Lana‘i offers rugged backroads, secluded beaches, and luxurious resorts, with Keahiakawelo (the Garden of the Gods) showcasing unique rock formations. Meanwhile, Moloka‘i, the most culturally authentic of the islands, is home to Kalaupapa National Historical Park, the longest fringing reef in the U.S., and some of the most unspoiled landscapes in Hawai‘i.

Traveling between the islands is easy with inter-island flights from Hawaiian Airlines and Mokulele Airlines. Rental cars are essential for exploring, especially on larger islands like the Big Island and Maui, while public transport is mainly available on O‘ahu. Guided tours are also a great way to see major attractions, and a ferry connects Maui to Lana‘i.

Hawai‘i is a year-round destination, but the best times to visit are April through June and September through November when the weather is pleasant and crowds are smaller. Winter (December to March) is ideal for whale watching and surfing, but it’s also peak tourist season. Summer (July and August) is warm and dry, attracting more families.

No trip to Hawai‘i is complete without experiencing its natural and cultural wonders. Snorkeling at Molokini Crater or Hanauma Bay, exploring the waterfalls along the Road to Hana, visiting Pearl Harbor, taking a helicopter tour over the Napali Coast, witnessing lava flows at Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, and attending an authentic lu‘au are just a few must-do activities. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or cultural experiences, Hawai‘i offers an unforgettable journey filled with natural beauty and the aloha spirit.

Relaxing Romantic Getaway

Reviewed By Ally - Portland, OR | Traveled to Scottsdale | Arizona | USA

My husband and I really needed some r&r, and had heard Scottsdale was a great place to get away, but had no idea where to begin. Michael organized a trip that hit on all the points we were hoping for. I love a good spa, and my husband loves to hike, so Michael recommended we stay at the Phoenician. Absolutely amazing resort! I felt transported to a new world. And the spa was heavenly, and the food. Just, wow. And we were right near Camelback Mountain, which we hiked at sunset. The sunsets in Arizona really are as beautiful as they say! So we got our relaxation in and our exercise in the beautiful desert landscape. We also took a day trip out to Saguaro Lake and thoroughly enjoyed the Desert Belle Tour. Great music, drinks, breathtaking scenery. It was just the change of pace we needed! And Michael made it all so simple for us. We're so thankful! And much more revived.

MICHAEL BITSAS RESPONDED

"I'm really glad that you got everything you needed out of your trip! And I'm glad that I was at least partly responsible for that. I couldn't have done it without you telling me exactly what you needed. Great collaboration! And I'm very happy to have helped with your getaway."

I used them to book my trip to Australia and I was extremely pleased with everything. It started with a conversation of where, when, etc. and it translated into a seamless & well organized trip. My flight to LA with a connecting flight to Melbourne went without a hitch. Mr. Bitsas is well traveled and was able to recommend some places he experienced when he went to Australia. He also connected me to this couple that reside in Australia that further elevated my experience. While in Australia, we mostly stayed in Melbourne but also flew into Sydney, took a ferry, stayed in a chalet, visited several animal parks. It truly was an experience. I loved my flight as I love planes. I appreciated my travel arrangements as all of my questions were answered, flights made, recommendations given and a lasting memory made. Highly recommend using Michael.
