For my cocktail connoisseur's; they're is a delectable selection of cool bars that will strike your fancy . With a strong atmosphere; Black Rabbit Rose will bring you in a sultry bar scene that sets you in a Houstonish magic setting with lovely red and gold accents . The bar features tableside sleight of hand and surprises at every turn, as well as an additional magic-leaning variety show in the bar’s own theatre. Think: Victorian splendor (leather booths, fancy dress) and Houdini-esque theatrics, even when it comes to the cocktails. There’s no rotating bed to lead you in; just look for the sign of a rabbit at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Hudson Avenue, walk beneath the nondescript awning and you’re there ( the drunken noodles are my favorite fyi.) A hidden gem " The Lucky Tiki" isn't known by many but can catch the eye of those who love a good ol tiki bar ( centered in West Hollywood ) . Enter the Lucky Tiki by buzzing the intercom within the pickle barrel on the patio. Then, push through the beaded curtain and you’ll find an intimate space decorated with blowfish lanterns, one-of-a-kind tiki mugs and plenty of memorabilia from the original Lucky Tiki, which the 1933 Group (Harlowe, Bigfoot Lodge, Idle Hour) first opened in the San Fernando Valley !

Throughout this bio; I'll give you a a strong brief rundown of your stay out in such a lovely city . In addition to its coastline, Santa Cruz offers rich opportunities for outdoor recreation in the nearby Santa Cruz Mountains. Visitors can explore redwood forests, hiking and biking trails, and scenic drives through lush landscapes. Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is particularly popular, featuring towering ancient trees and accessible trails suitable for a wide range of fitness levels.

Santa Cruz is also deeply rooted in surf culture, with renowned breaks such as Pleasure Point attracting experienced surfers from around the world. Another proper beach that is worth the visit is a bit more secluded but can be a prominent spot for intimate or family time. Shark Fin Cove is a scenic, secluded beach located in Davenport, California, near Santa Cruz, famous for a massive, shark-fin-shaped rock formation in its waters. Part of Coastal Dairies State Park, it features sandy shores, dramatic cliffs, a sea cave, and an old mining tunnel, offering a picturesque spot for photography and hiking. I love both of these beaches and also can provide you with a great experience for families, friends or even solo travels!

For those who want to tickle their museum itch; art and culture enthusiasts will appreciate the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (MAH), a dynamic community hub known for its contemporary exhibitions, cultural events, and collaborative programming that celebrates the diverse voices of Santa Cruz County. The MAH is widely recognized for blending art, history, and social engagement into a uniquely local experience. A family oriented exhibit which is a fan favorite amongst the masses is also Monterey Bay Aquarium! Located on Cannery Row in Monterey, California, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a renowned non-profit institution dedicated to ocean conservation, opening in 1984 on the site of a former sardine cannery. It houses over 80,000 plants and animals representing more than 771 species, featuring a renowned kelp forest exhibit, sea otters, and a massive open sea tank.

Nightlife is quite prominent in this amazing city as well. From personal experience, their is almost something ot do each day of the week. Nightclubs such as 1015 Folsom, Hawthorne, White Rabbit, Monarch, Smugglers Cove, Madrone Art Bar are a few examples of spaces where the music is flowing throughout the night . First Thursdays are FUN since they are small festivals that are open to the public for free so if you're in the mood to cut up the dance floor than keep your eye open for these events!

Now that we have that out the way; I'm sure you have an itch to view the scenic locations that are spread throughout this city. The beaches are quite lovely such as Baker Beach, China Beach, and Marshall Beach which all of these locations have accesible hiking and also pet friendly which is a plus. There are also some great hikes that are challenging and some not so much whichever works best for you. My personal favorites are Sutro Baths and Lands End which has a very beautiful view of a rocky hillside by the water ! There are so many gems in San Francisco that I fall in love with the city every visit.
