Cold, ice, and wind may not be the first things most travelers picture when imagining a dream celebration, but for my brother and his wife, Alaska offered the perfect setting for a destination wedding. Because travel is deeply important to me, I wanted their celebration to be more than a single event; I wanted the entire journey to become part of their story. I helped plan, arrange, finance, and research each detail so the experience would feel personal and meaningful. With that vision in mind, I planned a trip that began in Seattle and continued along Alaska’s dramatic coastline, where quiet waters, forested islands, snow-covered mountains, and ever-changing views created an unforgettable backdrop for the start of their life together.
To make the journey memorable from the very beginning, I arranged for them to arrive early in Seattle, a city they had both always wanted to visit. I believe the time before a cruise should feel like part of the vacation rather than simply a departure day, so I planned time for them to walk through Pike Place Market, enjoy views of Elliott Bay, explore a waterfront park, and visit a local brewery. These experiences offered a relaxed introduction to the Pacific Northwest and allowed them to begin celebrating before they boarded the ship. Seeing their excitement confirmed why travel matters so much to me: every stop can become a lasting memory.
Once they boarded the ship, the journey expanded from Seattle’s waterfront to the distinctive ports and landscapes of Alaska. Planning travel has always been one of my favorite pastimes, and choosing destinations that matched their interests made this wedding journey especially rewarding for me. In Juneau, I imagined them riding the tram above the city, taking in mountain and harbor views, visiting Mendenhall Glacier, and joining a whale-watching excursion. Skagway added a strong sense of history through its preserved Gold Rush-era streets and the scenic White Pass route, where the landscape tells the story of travelers who once crossed the region in search of opportunity. In Ketchikan, they could walk along colorful Creek Street, learn about Alaska Native art and traditions, explore the temperate rainforest, or look for salmon and bald eagles near the water. Scenic cruising through Glacier Bay or another glacier-lined passage offered a different experience: standing together on deck and watching for calving ice, seals, whales, and distant waterfalls as the ship moved quietly through the landscape. By bringing these places and experiences together, I created more than an itinerary; I created a destination wedding journey centered on discovery, connection, and the meaningful travel I value most.
Open water, crystal-blue seas, and warm Caribbean air have always made cruising a favorite adventure for my friends, my family, and me. This extraordinary trip gave me some of my most memorable travel experiences. Life aboard the ship—from the food and dancing to the wide range of activities—was a joy in itself. During my seven-day Royal Caribbean cruise, I visited five islands, experienced five distinct cultures, and enjoyed unforgettable excursions unique to each destination. My stops in St. Lucia, St. Martin, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, and Jamaica left me with a lasting sense of wonder and excitement.
St. Lucia, my first stop, welcomed me with the most beautiful beach I had ever seen. The brilliant blue water, mesmerizing sand, and perfectly clear sky created an unforgettable setting. I tried stand-up paddleboarding for the first time and easily rented everything I needed for a fun day in the sun. Beyond the beach, I explored the island’s tropical scenery, sampled local flavors, and browsed colorful shops for souvenirs before returning to the ship. Back on board, the fun continued with music, dancing, delicious food, and sunset views from the deck. One of my favorite photos captures me on the paddleboard with a magnificent eagle in the background. Experiencing this adventure at a young age made it especially meaningful, and the memory still inspires me as I plan my next Caribbean cruise.
From the natural beauty of St. Lucia, my adventure continued in St. Kitts. Stepping off the ship at Port Zante in Basseterre and walking directly into the city made me feel as though I had entered an entirely new cultural world. I sampled local food, visited nearby attractions, and admired the island’s striking volcanic landscape. My visit to the Reggae Beach Bar and Grill was especially memorable because its cuisine offered a refreshing change from the food aboard the ship and gave me a chance to relax while trying something new. By the time I left St. Kitts, I was already dreaming about island life and eager to discover what my final stop would bring.
Jamaica, my final and favorite stop, gave me an adventure I will never forget. Because horseback riding has always been a passion of mine, I could not pass up the opportunity to ride with local guides. We traveled through the ocean, across tall grasslands, and along cliffs that offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The experience was exhilarating, refreshing, and wonderfully natural, and I remain grateful for every moment. Ending the journey on such a meaningful note reminded me that the true appeal of cruising lies in how effortlessly it brings together unforgettable destinations, new cultures, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
What I value most about cruise travel is how easy it makes it to explore multiple destinations. With the itinerary, accommodations, transportation, dining, and activities already organized, I can focus on enjoying each island instead of worrying about every detail. That freedom allowed me to fully appreciate the beaches, local culture, onboard entertainment, and unforgettable excursions that made this journey so meaningful. My Caribbean cruise gave me lasting memories and deepened my love of travel, and I would gladly choose cruising again for my next adventure.
Ireland has always held a deeply personal place in my family’s heart. It is where both of my grandparents were laid to rest, and planning my father’s trip there became much more than arranging travel—it became a way to help him reconnect with family, memory, and place. His journey centered around Castletown Bere in County Cork, a working fishing town on the Beara Peninsula surrounded by the Atlantic, rugged coastline, and the quiet beauty of southwest Ireland.
During his stay, Berehaven offered him a sense of peace that stayed with him. His family home, nestled between the ocean and the mountains, gave him a new perspective on where he came from and why the area means so much to us. The calm water, mountain views, and coastal roads made the landscape feel both vast and familiar. Even though he was far from home, places like McCarthy’s Bar, the local restaurants, and the welcoming rhythm of Castletown Bere helped him feel grounded, as if he had found another version of home across the ocean.
He was younger then and wanted to see as much as he could. He walked through the local shops, found quiet places to take in the view, and slowly got a better feel for the history around him. The Derreenataggart Stone Circle gave him a real sense of how far back Ireland’s story goes, and the ferry over to Bere Island made the trip feel even more special. On the island, he saw the standing stone, Ardagh Martello Tower, and the old military remains that still point to how important the harbor once was. Back near Castletown Bere, the ruins of Dunboy Castle and Puxley Mansion added to that feeling of being surrounded by family history, local stories, and the passing of time. With the sea, mountains, and Atlantic wind all around him, the trip became more than a visit to where our family came from. It became a memory he carried with him, and one that gave him a lasting love for this part of Ireland.
When I think about the many places military families may be stationed, North Carolina stands out because it gave me one of my earliest and most meaningful travel memories. I was introduced to a military ball in Durham, and attending the ball was both an honor and an experience I will always carry with me. There was something special about being there—reconnecting with an old friend, celebrating the Marine Corps Birthday, and feeling the pride and tradition that surrounded the evening. As one of my first trips outside my hometown, Durham made a lasting impression on me and helped me understand how deeply service, community, and connection can shape a place.
That first trip made me want to see more of North Carolina, and over time, the state became tied to some very sweet memories. I once imagined going to college at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and even though my path led somewhere else, I still remember how exciting it felt to picture myself living and learning so close to the coast. Later, I took a vacation near Emerald Isle Beach, traveling along Route 58 toward a place that felt peaceful, bright, and full of simple joys. The Islander Hotel and Resort was quaint and welcoming, and I loved being close to the water, local restaurants, friendly people, and all the little beach-town activities that make a trip feel carefree. Being near the Crystal Coast gave me time to slow down, enjoy ocean views, eat fresh seafood, play mini golf, and appreciate the kind of relaxed pace that makes coastal North Carolina feel like a place you can breathe a little easier.
What I appreciate most about North Carolina is that every part of it seems to offer something different to hold onto. Hillsborough, Chapel Hill, and the surrounding areas gave me a glimpse of historic towns, college communities, and the kind of local pride that brings people together. I was not always the biggest fan of sports, but meeting people who cared deeply about their teams reminded me of the same loyalty and connection I knew from friends back home. Away from the towns and campuses, the natural beauty of the state stayed with me too—from scenic trails and mountain views to places like Chimney Rock State Park and the Great Smoky Mountains. North Carolina feels warm to me because it blends so many experiences: history, coastline, college life, small-town charm, outdoor adventure, and personal memories. It is the kind of place that makes me want to keep exploring, because each visit has given me another reason to feel connected to it.
Why do I love Florida so much? I asked myself that often while traveling through Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Disney, and North Florida. For me, Florida’s greatest appeal is the way it offers so many different experiences in one place. I can relax on the beach, enjoy the ocean, explore lively cities, and still find peaceful natural spaces that feel completely different from everyday life. I love the sunshine, refreshing waters, and welcoming atmosphere that make Florida such a popular destination, but I also appreciate how each region has its own personality. From South Florida’s beaches and nightlife to North Florida’s springs, state parks, history, and outdoor adventures, the state always gives me a new reason to come back.
Miami, Florida, gave me experiences I could not find at home. I was drawn to its cultural diversity, food, nightlife, and the feeling of freedom that comes with visiting such a vibrant place. The beaches stood out most to me, especially South Beach, Miami Beach, Surfside, and Bal Harbour, where I could relax with my feet in the sand while still taking in the energy of the city. I will never forget the first time I crossed the MacArthur Causeway and saw the water stretching between Miami and the beach; that view made the city feel even more unforgettable. After traveling to Florida more times than I can remember, it began to feel like a second home. One of my favorite memories was staying with a college friend whose apartment was near a harbor filled with luxury yachts. Watching them move slowly in and out of the water made time seem to stand still and reminded me to appreciate the smallest details of life there. Beyond the beautiful waterways, Florida also offers unique wildlife, including manatees, which made the experience feel unlike anywhere else in the world.
North Florida showed me another side of the state beyond the beaches and busy cities. I found crystal-clear springs, peaceful state parks, historical sites, and outdoor activities that made the area attractive during my younger years. Places such as Ichetucknee Springs State Park, Ginnie Springs, Gilchrist Blue Springs, and Silver Springs State Park offer beautiful water for swimming, tubing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and glass-bottom boat tours. Historic St. Augustine adds charm with its old streets, landmarks, and coastal setting, while areas near Jacksonville, Amelia Island, and the Gulf Coast offer opportunities for parasailing, jet skiing, and fishing. These attractions helped me see Florida as more than a vacation spot; they showed me it is a place to explore, slow down, and experience nature, history, and adventure all in one trip.
What makes Florida most meaningful to me is not just the beauty of the places I have visited, but the memories I have made there with family and friends. Over the years, I have shared many experiences in Florida that brought me closer to the people I care about most. Even something as simple as walking along Jacksonville Beach, talking, laughing, and enjoying life together reminds me why Florida continues to be one of my favorite places to visit.
When we traveled through Arizona on our honeymoon, we felt as if we had stepped into a landscape painted with sunlight, red rock, and endless sky. From the vast grandeur of the Grand Canyon to the storied roads near Jerome and Flagstaff, and down toward the cool beauty of Oak Creek, every stop gave us something different to remember. Arizona offered us dramatic scenery, rich history, open-road adventure, and the kind of moments that stay with us long after the trip ends.
For us, few places captured the spirit of the American Southwest like the Grand Canyon. Its immense cliffs and layered colors left us in awe and reminded us to slow down, look closely, and appreciate nature on a grand scale. Although the canyon is best explored over more than one day, we experienced some of its most beloved views aboard the Grand Canyon Railway. With cowboy characters, live music, wide-open scenery, and a playful Old West atmosphere, the train made the journey as memorable as the destination. It became one of the highlights of our honeymoon and an experience we would recommend to couples and families alike.
The Grand Canyon Railway Hotel added comfort and convenience to our trip, giving us the welcoming “home away from home” feeling we always hope to find while traveling. After long days of sightseeing, Spencer’s Pub helped us ease into the evening with specialty drinks, attentive service, and relaxed small-town charm. Just across the tracks, Williams gave us a nostalgic one-mile stretch of Route 66, where we browsed shops, enjoyed local restaurants, and soaked in the atmosphere. Our favorite stop was Frontier Restaurant and Beer Garden, where the “secret” chicken sandwich, cold draft beer, and lively setting gave us another reason to linger.
As we continued through northern Arizona, Route 66 led us into the rugged Black Mountains and toward Oatman, a former gold-mining town tucked between Kingman and the Colorado River corridor. The winding drive, tight curves, desert ridges, and open views made the road feel like part of the adventure. Once we arrived, the town’s famous burros, descendants of miners’ pack animals, wandered calmly through the streets and gave us one of our most memorable moments. Oatman felt like the Old West brought to life, with weathered storefronts, wooden walkways, playful gunslinger shows, and a saloon where we signed a dollar bill, enjoyed a sandwich and cold beer, and felt connected to generations of travelers before us.
Flagstaff gave us a different kind of experience. We joined the Flagstaff Underground Ghost Tour, where our guide, Rebel, brought the city’s history to life through stories of hardship, tragedy, resilience, and survival. Hearing about the people who tried to build new lives there made the town feel layered and personal. Although our visit was brief, we left wanting more time to explore its shops, restaurants, and downtown charm.
Sedona, Arizona stopped us in our tracks. South of the Grand Canyon, its sunshine, red rocks, clear water, and mix of relaxation and adventure made it unforgettable. Grasshopper Point in Oak Creek Canyon felt like the perfect desert escape, with cool creek water, red-and-gold canyon walls, and rocky ledges that gave the area an energetic, adventurous feel. Some visitors come for cliff jumping, but the changing depth and hidden rocks make it a place we believe should be enjoyed carefully and respectfully.
Oak Creek Canyon felt like a scenic ribbon through the landscape, with State Route 89A curving between forested slopes, dramatic cliffs, and flashes of sunlight on the water. Crescent Moon Ranch and Red Rock Crossing showed us Sedona’s softer side, where Cathedral Rock rose above the trees and the creek reflected the glowing sandstone. Nearby, the W.W. Midgley Bridge walking trail opened up views of desert plants, layered cliffs, and the bridge itself. Together, these places gave us warm sun, red dust, cool water, dramatic views, and the feeling that Sedona was not just somewhere we visited—it was somewhere we experienced with every sense.
For us, Arizona was a perfect destination for couples and families because it blended romance, adventure, relaxation, and discovery. From the Grand Canyon and Williams to Oatman, Flagstaff, Sedona, Oak Creek, and Route 66, Arizona gave us every reason to slow down, explore together, and create memories that felt exciting, personal, and lasting.
Gettysburg felt right to me from the moment we arrived. My husband’s passion for American history made the trip especially meaningful, but standing on the landscape changed my own understanding of the place. The rolling fields, stone walls, and distant ridgelines were beautiful, yet they also carried the weight of the three-day Battle of Gettysburg during the Civil War. Walking through Gettysburg National Military Park and seeing landmarks such as Little Round Top, Devil’s Den, and the fields of Pickett’s Charge transformed history from something I had read about into something immediate and deep.
The Inn at Cemetery Hill was the perfect place for our visit. Located near Soldiers’ National Cemetery, it placed us close to the ground where Union soldiers were buried and where President Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address. Visiting the cemetery and the nearby Gettysburg National Cemetery made the familiar words of that speech feel far more personal. The inn’s warm staff, complimentary breakfast, and local recommendations also guided us beyond the usual tourist stops and helped us connect with the town itself.
Gettysburg’s haunted reputation added an entirely different kind of excitement. We joined an evening ghost tour through the historic streets, listening to stories connected to old buildings, battlefield hospitals, and locations such as the Jennie Wade House and Sachs Covered Bridge. Our guide also shared local accounts of unexplained footsteps, voices, and distant sounds resembling gunfire. I understood these stories as folklore rather than established history, but hearing them after dark, close to places marked by enormous loss—made the past feel hauntingly near. What stayed with me most was the contrast: peaceful countryside beside solemn monuments, a welcoming modern town surrounded by preserved history, and entertaining ghost stories rooted in a genuinely tragic past. Gettysburg gave us much more than a sightseeing trip. It gave my husband and me a shared experience that was reflective, adventurous, and unforgettable.
I think of Las Vegas, Nevada, as a city within a city—an unforgettable destination where the Las Vegas Strip glows with neon lights, world-class entertainment, and dining that ranges from elegant restaurants to generous buffets. Energy is larger than life, and every corner offers something new to discover. The famous saying, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,” captures the city’s playful spirit, but for me, the best part was helping my in-laws plan a trip they would still want to revisit years later. Even with a full week available for them, we quickly realized there was more to see, taste, and experience than we could fit into one itinerary.
Because experiencing the casino scene was their top priority, I looked for a comfortable option that balanced atmosphere, convenience, and budget. I chose the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel and Casino because its central Strip location made it easy for us to explore on foot. From there, they could step outside and enjoy nearby casinos, attractions, restaurants, beverage stops, and rooftop pools without spending too much time or money on transportation. Staying close to the action gave flexibility: they could start early, take breaks when needed, and return to the lights of the Strip whenever ready.
To give my in-laws a break from the bright lights and nonstop energy of the Las Vegas Strip, I guided a day trip to Valley of Fire State Park. easy car rental, planned the route, and led them about an hour beyond the city, where the neon skyline gradually disappeared and the desert opened for them to see the natural landscape. Pictures, they shared, could not give justice to their true reactions as towering red sandstone formations came into view, shifting from rust and copper to brilliant orange beneath the sunlight. As they traveled along the winding scenic roads, they developed the ability to slow down so they could take in each overlook and enjoy every surprising turn in the landscape.
I planned for them to seek out several overlooks and short trails, choosing stops that allowed them to experience the park at a comfortable pace. They stepped into the dry, still desert air, admired rocks that seemed to grow around them, and paused at ancient petroglyphs carved into the stone. I shared what I had learned while planning the trip and gave them time to imagine what history was possible to see. Being more technologically savvy I was able to check the conditions, and kept us on marked routes, they could relax and focus on the scenery. Their drive back to Las Vegas, they called my husband and I to talk about how extraordinary it was to experience the calm of the desert and the excitement of the Strip in the same day, and I felt proud to have guided them through both sides of Nevada. Las Vegas is a desired place that as I learn more about the area and am able to guide my family and friends on extraordinary journeys, I hope to be able to continue doing this for many families to come.
After visiting Arizona, I felt inspired to continue exploring the American Southwest, and New Mexico became the natural next chapter of my journey. I wanted to understand how Indigenous, Spanish, Mexican, and American histories intersect across the state’s high-desert landscapes, so I planned a road trip that combined historic districts, museums, archaeological sites, local art, and time outdoors. I began in Albuquerque, traveled north to Santa Fe, continued northwest to Aztec, and then made the longer southeast journey to Roswell. By choosing an overnight base in each area, I gave myself enough time to experience the character of every destination rather than simply drive through it.
I began in Albuquerque, where staying near Old Town allowed me to explore adobe-lined streets, local galleries, and San Felipe de Neri Church on foot. Hotel Chaco felt especially suited to the trip because its Pueblo-inspired design and contemporary Native American art reflected the cultural themes I was beginning to encounter. Its location between Old Town and the Sawmill District also kept restaurants, museums, and shops within easy reach. From my hotel, I followed Central Avenue to see the neon signs and roadside architecture of historic Route 66, visited the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center to learn more about New Mexico’s 19 Pueblo communities, and spent time at the Albuquerque Museum and along the Rio Grande bosque. When I left the city, the urban landscape gradually opened into high desert as I traveled north through the Santa Fe area and then northwest toward Aztec. I stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Aztec, a practical base near Aztec Ruins National Monument, although nearby Farmington also offered additional dining and lodging choices. At the monument, I walked through the preserved Aztec West great house, studied original wooden roof beams, and entered the reconstructed Great Kiva. Experiencing the site in person gave me one of the journey’s clearest connections to Ancestral Pueblo life.
Santa Fe became the cultural heart of my journey and deserved more than a quick stop. I stayed at La Fonda on the Plaza, which placed me beside Santa Fe Plaza and within walking distance of the Palace of the Governors, the New Mexico History Museum, the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, San Miguel Chapel, and Loretto Chapel. The hotel’s Southwestern character and long connection to the city made the stay feel like part of the historical experience. A villa or suite near downtown would also have been a good choice for a quieter, residential-style visit while still providing convenient access to Canyon Road, the Railyard District, the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market, and Museum Hill. During my stay, I wandered through Canyon Road’s galleries, visited the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, and slowed my pace with a walk through the Santa Fe Botanical Garden. I then continued southeast across New Mexico toward Roswell, watching the landscape change as the road carried me away from the northern high desert. In Roswell, I used a central hotel such as the Fairfield Inn & Suites Roswell as a base for visiting the International UFO Museum and Research Center, the Roswell Museum, and the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art. For a longer stay, I found that Home2 Suites by Hilton Roswell offered the convenience of suite-style accommodations and kitchen facilities. From Roswell, I could also venture beyond the museums to Bottomless Lakes State Park and Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge, where the open scenery gave the final stage of the trip a quieter and more reflective rhythm.
Looking back, I found that traveling through New Mexico was most rewarding when I allowed each destination enough time to reveal its own identity. Albuquerque introduced me to the state’s cultural crossroads, Santa Fe immersed me in its historic and artistic traditions, Aztec brought me face to face with Ancestral Pueblo architecture, and Roswell combined modern legend with the natural beauty of south eastern, New Mexico. The hotels and suites I chose did more than provide places to sleep; their locations helped shape the pace of each visit and kept important sites within reach. For anyone considering a similar journey, I would recommend traveling by car, allowing extra time between regions, and planning at least one unhurried day in each destination. What stayed with me most was not one landmark or museum, but the way the road connected centuries of history, distinctive communities, and changing landscapes into one memorable experience.
During our family trip to Clearwater, I saw how carefully my parents planned around the weather, traffic, and the energy my brother and I had each day. Their flexibility helped all of us enjoy the trip more. Arriving at the beach early became part of the adventure because we found parking easily and had plenty of room to play in the sand before the crowds arrived. Staying near Clearwater Beach also made everything feel accessible: we could walk to the playground, watch the sunset celebration at Pier 60, and try family-friendly restaurants. One of my favorite meals was at Frenchy’s Rockaway Gri0ll, where we relaxed by the beach, ate seafood and sandwiches, and watched the colors of the sunset.
Visiting Caladesi Island was one of the most peaceful adventures of our trip. When the weather and ferry schedule worked in our favor, I spent time searching for shells, walking along the shore, and enjoying the water with my family. Even when rain or intense heat changed our plans, the adventure continued indoors at places such as Great Explorations Children’s Museum, Zubrick Magic Theatre, and Clearwater Ice Arena. Coachman Park and George C. McGough Nature Park also gave us affordable places to slow down, explore, and spend meaningful time together. These quieter experiences balanced the excitement of the beach and reminded me that not every memorable adventure has to feel rushed.
As an adult planning trips of my own, I now understand why my parents always checked signs, maps, and beach warnings before we entered the water. Travelers may not always think about rip-current forecasts, water-quality notices, or red-tide reports, but paying attention to them can make an adventure safer and more enjoyable. I also appreciated how well we packed: sunscreen, hats, refillable water bottles, light rain jackets, insect repellent, comfortable sandals, snacks, and extra clothes all proved useful. Our flexible two-day plan brought the themes of the trip together. On the first day, we visited Clearwater Marine Aquarium in the morning, spent the afternoon at Clearwater Beach, and watched the sunset at Pier 60. On the second day, we explored Honeymoon Island and, when conditions allowed, took the ferry to Caladesi Island. By the end of the trip, I realized that preparation gave us the freedom to explore without making the experience stressful.
Nightlife, sophisticated events, soft-sand beaches, and a vibrant blend of cultures come together in one unforgettable destination: Miami, Florida. From iconic shorelines and distinctive hotels to exciting cuisine and exceptional shopping, the city offers the variety today’s travelers value. Even after visiting Miami many times, I always find something new to enjoy. That sense of discovery is one reason Miami remains such a strong destination in the travel industry: it can feel luxurious, adventurous, relaxing, or lively depending on how each guest chooses to experience it. For me, selecting the right hotel is the first step in shaping that experience, whether it is a comfortable property within walking distance of the beach, a convenient stay just a short ride away, or an oceanfront retreat with views that make the trip feel special from the moment I arrive.
That connection between location and experience is exactly what made my stay at Kasa La Flora Hotel so memorable. Its excellent reviews matched my experience, and I loved being within walking distance of Miami Beach and South Beach. With Lummus Park nearby, I could pick up lunch, relax in the shade, and still be only steps from the water and sunshine. I also appreciated the variety of local restaurants, from welcoming cafés to Mexican, Cuban, and Italian cuisine. For travelers, this kind of walkable neighborhood adds real value: less time is spent coordinating transportation, and more time can be devoted to exploring, dining, and enjoying the destination. It also shows how hotels, restaurants, parks, and nearby attractions work together within the travel industry to create a complete guest experience. Everything felt convenient and inviting, making this an area I would happily recommend and choose again.
Once I was ready to explore beyond the neighborhood, the available shuttles made the rest of Miami feel accessible and added another fun layer to the trip. Using local transportation, I was able to visit the famous Ocean Drive, South Pointe Pier, and the beach before continuing toward Fifth and Sixth Streets for a Tours of Miami excursion that offered jet ski rentals. I had ridden a jet ski before, but racing across the Port of Miami beneath the bright sun, with cool water spraying around me, was an experience I will not forget. The guides were friendly, explained the process clearly, and kept safety at the center of the adventure—an important example of how knowledgeable tourism professionals can make an activity both exciting and reassuring. Experiences like this are available throughout Miami, supported by shuttle providers, tour operators, rental companies, hotels, and other local businesses that help visitors turn a simple getaway into a memorable itinerary. I had also hoped to try Aquaris Boat Rental and Tours, but its popularity meant we could not secure a same-day reservation. That became a helpful travel-planning lesson: book high-demand activities in advance, leave room for spontaneous discoveries, and rely on local travel professionals to help make the most of every day.

Locally, I recently needed hotel reservations for New Yorks upcoming Veterinary Technician's Conference held in Ithaca. Kate was a quick agent to work with under short notice and provided additional information that was useful during my short travels. I would book with Kate again!
Being a part of a large company and included in the inventory management process travel is a need every quarter for training. Kate, being a close friend, knew she could help make my trip to Charlotte, North Carolina more than just our convention and training. I appreciated not staying at a hotel with all the other attendees as I wanted to make a short vacation out of it. Kate is well familiar with the area and was able to keep me close to the convention. Not to mention she knows I love sports, so I was able to see the Spectrum Center. Book with Kate she does a great job!
Kate helped my wife and I go to Las Vegas. I am not very good at writing reviews or planning travel, my wife handles that and she used Kate. Kate even after our trip made sure that we had a good time and that nothing went wrong. She knows how much I like a good Casino and the Flamingo hotel was affordable (cheap like me) and very fun. Have Kate book your travel needs, she did a good job.
Recently married, my husband and I waited a little while to plan our honeymoon. We chose Kate to work with us as she has a knack for planning vacations. From early on, Kate was involved with each aspect. She helped give us a tour of Seattle for a day; made sure we had appropriate flight times and dates that would give us this extra day of exploration. Kate as well was thoughtful about booking a dinner reservation on the cruise for a particular day that we would be at sea. Kate made each stop open to many experiences; we ultimately were able to choose what we wanted to do that day because Kate had relayed them so well to us in an itinerary. She stayed in budget too, which made us realize we choose the right agent! I will use Kate's services again!
My husband and I traveled to Las Vegas, we wanted to experience much more than the strip itself. We found out that Kate had experience finding great outside destinations that helped us navigate more of Nevada. The Valley of Fire was recommended along with other natural structures, and Kate was able to help us easily get there with our car rental being so close to hotel access. Kate also was available by phone when we had questions. It was amazing working with her.
We wanted to plan an extravagant trip for our honeymoon. We had multiple destinations in mind; Kate ultimately brought the best idea for us to Travel on a romantic Alaskan cruise. We had the time of our lives and pay huge thank you to Kate for making this experience unforgettable.
Miami was a great place to travel to. With Kate as our travel agent and advisor we were able to book so many additional adventures! It was a pleasure working with such a kind person!
Kate had made our trip to Clearwater, Florida so much fun. It would have been easy to book alone, but Kate provided us with additional information that we wouldn't have thought about. I recommend utilizing her for your vacations!
My travel agent Kate had made my perfect trip to Gettysburg, PA historical and easy. Staying at the Cemetery Inn was perfect as it offered a hotel set in the middle of all the historical sites I could have wanted to see. She did a great job!
Kate was able to make sure, with such a sensitive endeavor, my trip was surrounded by making new memories and reminisce on the past in a positive way. After a hard decision to bring my parents to Ireland and lay them to rest, I am glad I was able to rely on her for her advice and assistance.
