New Zealand Travel Agent Specialist

New Zealand is without a doubt one of my favorite countries in the world. Few places offer such an incredible variety of landscapes and natural beauty. From snow-covered mountains and glaciers to lush rainforests, beautiful beaches, volcanoes, and rolling green hills, the scenery is breathtaking. What I particularly love is how quickly the landscape changes. You can be driving through farmland one moment and find yourself surrounded by towering mountains, pristine lakes, or rugged coastlines the next.

Although New Zealand consists of two main islands, the North and South Islands are surprisingly different, and I highly recommend experiencing both.

The North Island is known for its warmer climate, beautiful coastlines, volcanic landscapes, geothermal activity, and rich Maori culture. Auckland, the country's largest city, is surrounded by water and has a wonderful sailing culture, earning it the nickname "City of Sails."

The nearby Bay of Islands is a beautiful area with sheltered bays, beaches, sailing, fishing, and opportunities to see dolphins.Further south, Rotorua is famous for its geothermal wonders, with bubbling mud pools, hot springs, and impressive geysers. It is also one of the best places to experience Maori culture. The central North Island is home to Lake Taupo and Tongariro National Park, where volcanic peaks, emerald lakes, and spectacular hiking trails create unforgettable scenery.

The South Island is perhaps even more spectacular when it comes to dramatic landscapes. Here you will find the Southern Alps, turquoise glacial lakes, magnificent fjords, glaciers, and some of the most beautiful mountain scenery I have ever seen. Queenstown, surrounded by mountains and situated on Lake Wakatipu, is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.

Whether you enjoy hiking, skiing, mountain biking, jet boating, or simply taking in the views, there is so much to do.One of the highlights is Fiordland National Park, especially Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound. The towering cliffs, waterfalls, lush forests, and peaceful waters are absolutely spectacular. Exploring these fjords by boat is an experience I would recommend to anyone visiting New Zealand.

The South Island also offers the stunning lakes of Tekapo and Pukaki, views of Aoraki/Mount Cook, the glaciers of the West Coast, and the beautiful coastal scenery of Abel Tasman National Park. Kaikoura is another wonderful destination, particularly for whale watching and marine wildlife. Driving through the South Island is an adventure in itself.

One of the things that makes New Zealand so special is its incredible access to nature. There are countless hiking trails, from easy coastal walks to challenging multi-day mountain treks. The country is famous for its Great Walks, including the Milford Track and Routeburn Track. There are also endless opportunities for kayaking, sailing, fishing, cycling, and exploring national parks. New Zealand is a fantastic destination for a self-drive vacation, allowing you to travel at your own pace and stop whenever a beautiful view catches your attention!

Beyond the landscapes, I find the Maori culture and history fascinating. Maori are the Indigenous people of New Zealand, and their traditions, language, art, and connection to the land are an important part of the country's identity. Experiencing a cultural performance, learning about the haka, visiting a marae, or enjoying a traditional hangi meal offers a deeper understanding of New Zealand and its people.

I also love the relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of the people, affectionately known as Kiwis. Whether visiting a small coastal town, exploring a local market, or enjoying a glass of New Zealand wine overlooking a vineyard, there is a welcoming and down-to-earth feeling that makes traveling here such a pleasure. The country is also known for its excellent wines, particularly Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough and Pinot Noir from Central Otago, as well as wonderful fresh seafood.

New Zealand offers something for almost everyone. It is perfect for adventurous travelers, nature lovers, hikers, families, couples, and anyone who appreciates beautiful scenery and wide-open spaces. Whether you prefer comfortable lodges, exploring by rental car, or combining outdoor adventures with excellent food and wine, there are so many ways to experience this amazing country.

For me, New Zealand is a place where the journey itself is often just as memorable as the destination. I love its diversity, unspoiled nature, fascinating culture, and the sense of freedom that comes with exploring its beautiful landscapes.I would love to help you discover New Zealand and plan a journey combining its famous highlights with some of the quieter, less-visited places that make the country so special.

Hawaii – Islands That Will Always Have a Special Place in My Heart

Hawaii is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. I was fortunate enough to live in Hawaii for a year, spending most of my time on Oahu, but also staying on Kauai, Maui, and the Big Island. During that time, I fell in love with the islands, their incredible natural beauty, relaxed lifestyle, and unique culture. What I find especially fascinating about Hawaii is how different each island is. They all have their own character, landscapes, and experiences, which makes exploring several islands so rewarding.

Oahu was my home for most of that year, and it offers a wonderful combination of beautiful beaches, mountains, history, and island life. Honolulu and Waikiki are lively and full of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment, while the famous North Shore has a completely different atmosphere, with small beach towns and some of the world's best surfing. I loved exploring the quieter beaches, hiking in the lush Ko'olau Mountains, and discovering places away from the busy tourist areas. Pearl Harbor is also a must-visit for anyone interested in history.

Kauai, often called the Garden Isle, is perhaps one of the most beautiful and greenest places I have ever visited. The dramatic cliffs of the Na Pali Coast, the incredible Waimea Canyon, tropical rainforests, waterfalls, and secluded beaches make this island a paradise for nature lovers. Hiking here is spectacular, and seeing the Na Pali Coast by foot, from a boat or helicopter is an unforgettable experience. Kauai has a slower pace of life that I really enjoy.

Maui offers a wonderful mix of beautiful beaches, luxury resorts, charming towns, and breathtaking scenery. Watching the sunrise from the summit of Haleakala, driving the winding Road to Hana past waterfalls and tropical forests, or snorkeling in the clear waters around the island are experiences I would highly recommend. Maui is also a fantastic destination for whale watching during the winter months, when humpback whales migrate to the warm Hawaiian waters.

The Big Island, officially called Hawaii Island, is completely different again. Its size and diversity are amazing, with everything from tropical rainforests and black sand beaches to dry lava fields, high mountains, and active volcanoes. Visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and seeing the volcanic landscapes is something truly special. The Kona Coast offers excellent snorkeling, diving, and deep-sea fishing, while the Hilo side of the island is lush, green, and full of waterfalls.

One of my favorite things about Hawaii is the ocean. The beaches are absolutely stunning, ranging from long stretches of golden sand to black sand beaches surrounded by volcanic landscapes. Snorkeling in the clear tropical water among colorful reef fish and sea turtles is an experience I never get tired of. The islands also offer fantastic opportunities for scuba diving, surfing, sailing, kayaking, and fishing. Whether you enjoy deep-sea fishing offshore or simply spending a quiet afternoon on the beach, there is something for everyone.

Hiking is another reason I love Hawaii. The scenery is incredibly diverse, with trails leading through bamboo forests, along dramatic coastal cliffs, into volcanic craters, and up mountain ridges with spectacular ocean views. Some of my favorite memories are simply being outdoors and exploring the islands' beautiful landscapes.

Beyond the scenery, Hawaiian culture is an important part of what makes these islands so special. The traditions, music, hula, language, and deep connection to the land and ocean give Hawaii an identity unlike anywhere else in the United States. Learning about the history of the Hawaiian people, experiencing local food, and understanding the spirit of aloha adds so much more to a visit than just enjoying the beaches.

Having spent a year living in Hawaii rather than simply visiting on vacation, I had the opportunity to experience the islands at a different pace. I discovered that some of the best experiences are not necessarily the famous attractions, but the small beaches, local restaurants, scenic drives, and unexpected places you find along the way.I love helping people discover Hawaii and choose the islands that best suit their interests.

Whether you are planning a romantic honeymoon, a family vacation, an adventurous hiking trip, a snorkeling and diving holiday, or a combination of several islands, I would be happy to share my personal experiences and help you plan your trip.Hawaii will always be one of my favorite destinations, and I hope you will fall in love with these beautiful islands just as I did.

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina Travel Agent

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina – A Place I Call Home. Hilton Head is not just another vacation destination to me. It has been my home for the past 18 years, the place where I raised my family, made wonderful memories, and truly fell in love with the Lowcountry lifestyle. After all these years, I still appreciate how beautiful and special this island is, and I love helping visitors discover everything it has to offer.

Located along the South Carolina coast, Hilton Head Island is known for its beautiful sandy beaches, world-class golf courses, incredible natural surroundings, and relaxed atmosphere. What makes it so special is that, despite being a popular vacation destination, it has managed to preserve much of its natural beauty. The island is covered with majestic live oak trees draped in Spanish moss, winding lagoons, salt marshes, and beautiful maritime forests. You won't find rows of high-rise buildings along the beaches here. Instead, the island has a peaceful, natural charm that makes it feel very different from many other beach destinations.

Of course, the beaches are one of the biggest attractions. With approximately 12 miles of beautiful Atlantic coastline, there is plenty of space for swimming, walking, biking, building sandcastles, or simply relaxing and enjoying the ocean. Hilton Head is especially wonderful for family vacations. The beaches are wide, the atmosphere is welcoming, and there are activities for all ages.

One of my favorite things about living here is the outdoor lifestyle. Hilton Head has miles of wonderful biking and walking paths, making it easy to explore the island. You can spend your mornings on the beach, enjoy lunch overlooking the water, and finish the day watching a beautiful sunset over the marshes.

For golfers, Hilton Head is a dream destination. The island and surrounding area offer some of the finest golf courses in the country, including the famous Harbour Town Golf Links in Sea Pines, home of the annual RBC Heritage PGA Tour tournament. Whether you are an experienced golfer or just enjoy playing a casual round while on vacation, there are plenty of excellent courses to choose from.

There is also so much to enjoy beyond the beaches and golf courses. Harbour Town, with its iconic red-and-white lighthouse, beautiful marina, shops, and waterfront restaurants, is always worth a visit. Shelter Cove offers great dining, shopping, entertainment, and lovely views of the marina. Families can enjoy dolphin-watching cruises, kayaking through the salt marshes, fishing charters, paddleboarding, miniature golf, and exploring the island's nature preserves.

The surrounding Lowcountry is equally beautiful. Historic Bluffton, with its charming Old Town, art galleries, and restaurants, is just a short drive away. Savannah, Georgia, and Beaufort, South Carolina, are also wonderful day trips, offering beautiful historic architecture, fascinating history, and true Southern hospitality.Another thing I love about Hilton Head is the food. Fresh local seafood, waterfront dining, traditional Southern cooking, and casual beachside restaurants are all part of the experience. There is nothing quite like enjoying fresh shrimp or local fish while overlooking the water.

Having lived here for 18 years and raised my family on the island, I have experienced Hilton Head in every season. I know the different areas, beaches, activities, and the little places that visitors might otherwise miss. I also know that every family and every traveler is different. Some come for golf, others for a relaxing beach vacation, and many come to spend quality time together with their children and grandchildren.

My goal is to help you experience Hilton Head Island the way I know and love it. Whether you are planning your first visit, a family beach vacation, a golf getaway, or a relaxing escape to the South Carolina coast, I would love to share my local knowledge and help you plan a memorable stay. After 18 years, I still feel fortunate to call Hilton Head Island home, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as my family and I have over the years.

French Polynesia Travel Agent Specialist

One of the most beautiful destinations in the world to me is French Polynesia, a South Pacific paradise that almost seems too beautiful to be real. Turquoise lagoons, volcanic mountains, palm-covered islands and colorful coral reefs are certainly part of the attraction, but what keeps drawing me back is the feeling of the islands—the warmth of the people, the Polynesian culture and the wonderfully relaxed pace of life.

French Polynesia is made up of 118 islands and atolls spread across a vast area of the South Pacific, divided into five island groups, each offering a completely different experience. The Society Islands are what most travelers picture when they think of French Polynesia.

Tahiti is the gateway, but from there you can explore Moorea, Bora Bora, Huahine, Raiatea, Taha'a and many other islands, each with its own personality. Moorea is one of my favorites, with dramatic green mountains rising straight from the lagoon, while Bora Bora truly has some of the most spectacular water and scenery anywhere in the world. This is also where you will find the iconic overwater bungalows French Polynesia is famous for. Waking up, stepping directly from your bungalow into a warm turquoise lagoon and snorkeling before breakfast is pretty difficult to beat.

For something much more remote, the Marquesas are extraordinary. These rugged volcanic islands feel completely different from the Society Islands, with towering cliffs, deep valleys, waterfalls, archaeological sites and a strong Polynesian identity. The Marquesas are less about perfect lagoons and more about dramatic landscapes, history, culture and adventure. They are among the most fascinating islands I have ever experienced and my favorite destination in French Polynesia.

Then there are the Tuamotus—a completely different world again. These low-lying coral atolls surround enormous lagoons and offer some of the clearest water and best diving and snorkeling imaginable. Rangiroa and Fakarava are particularly famous among scuba divers for their passes, sharks, rays, dolphins and incredible marine life. I had my absolute best snorkeling experience in Fakarava's North Pass, swimming among blacktip reef sharks and countless tropical fish in unbelievably clear water. It is an experience I will never forget.

One of my favorite ways to experience French Polynesia is by water. Small-ship cruising allows you to visit several islands without constantly packing, flying and changing hotels. It also gives you a completely different perspective, with opportunities to visit quieter bays, smaller communities and places that larger ships simply cannot reach.

I crossed the Pacific with my family on our own catamaran visiting many French Polynesian islands during our 3 months stay, starting from the Marquesas, sailing to the Tuamotus and from there to the Society Islands. It was an unforgettable experience during which I gained a lot of knowledge about the different islands that I want to use to make your trip the perfect travel adventure for you.

French Polynesia can be luxurious, adventurous, romantic or wonderfully simple. Stay in an overwater bungalow, cruise between islands, dive with sharks, snorkel coral gardens, hike through volcanic valleys, visit pearl farms, discover Polynesian history and archaeological sites, or simply sit beside a lagoon and watch the colors change as the sun goes down.

For me, French Polynesia is much more than a beautiful tropical destination. There is something about being out there in the middle of the Pacific—the ocean, the islands, the culture and especially the people—it seems like a paradise. Of all the places I have traveled, it remains my favorite.

Contact me and let me help you plan your own unforgettable journey through the islands of French Polynesia!

South Africa Travel Agent Specialist

South Africa holds a very special place in my heart. I spent a year living and working there, and it was during that time that I met my South African husband. What began as an internship abroad became a lifelong connection to a country I still love returning to and sharing with others.South Africa really does feel like a world in one country.

Its diversity is incredible — not only in its people and cultures, but in its landscapes, wildlife, food and experiences. You can wake up overlooking the ocean, spend the afternoon tasting wine in the mountains and, a few days later, be watching elephants at a waterhole in the African bush.

Cape Town is one of my favorite cities in the world. Table Mountain towers over a city surrounded by two oceans, beautiful beaches and dramatic scenery. Explore the colorful Bo-Kaap, visit the V&A Waterfront and historic Robben Island, then drive the spectacular Cape Peninsula via Chapman’s Peak to Boulders Beach and Cape Point.

Just outside Cape Town are the beautiful Cape Winelands. Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl offer mountain scenery, Cape Dutch architecture, wonderful restaurants and some of South Africa’s best-known wine estates. It is very easy to spend a few days here enjoying good food, wine and the relaxed South African way of life.

For one of the country's great road trips, follow the Garden Route through Wilderness, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. Beaches, forests, mountains and small coastal towns make this a wonderful area for hiking, kayaking, whale watching, golf or simply exploring at your own pace. Head inland and the scenery changes again to the semi-desert landscapes of the Klein Karoo and Oudtshoorn.

And then there is the African bush. Seeing an elephant, lion, giraffe or rhino in the wild for the first time is something you never forget. Kruger National Park is legendary, whether you explore independently or stay at a private game reserve and head out with a guide on early morning and evening game drives.

There is so much more beyond the best-known destinations. Hike among the dramatic peaks of the Drakensberg, discover the warm Indian Ocean beaches and Zulu culture of KwaZulu-Natal, visit the historic battlefields or travel along the beautiful and less-developed Wild Coast.

South Africa also has a complicated history that is an important part of understanding the country today. Indigenous African cultures, European settlement, migration from India and Southeast Asia, colonial conflicts and the painful apartheid era have all left their mark. Places such as Soweto, Robben Island and Johannesburg's Apartheid Museum tell parts of that story and give visitors a deeper appreciation of the country's remarkable journey to democracy.

For me, though, South Africa's greatest attraction has always been its people and its diversity. With 12 official languages and a wonderful mix of cultures and traditions, traveling from one region to another can sometimes feel like entering a different country. The food changes, the language changes, the landscape changes — but the warmth and friendliness of the people is something I have experienced everywhere.

Some of my favorite South African memories are also the simplest ones: a braai with friends, a cold drink as the sun goes down, the smell and sounds of the bush, a long lunch in the Winelands or a conversation with someone you have only just met.Whether you dream of safari, beaches, wine country, history, culture, adventure, golf or an unforgettable self-drive journey, South Africa can offer all of it.

I went to South Africa expecting to stay for a few months. Instead I stayed a year and came away with a husband, countless memories and a lifelong love for the country. It is a destination I don't just recommend — it is one I would love to help you experience for yourself.

Germany Travel Agent Specialist

Germany, the place where I was born and grew up, is a country where centuries of history, vibrant cities and beautiful landscapes come together in a surprisingly compact area. From medieval villages and fairytale castles to modern cities, mountain scenery and picturesque wine regions, Germany offers an enormous variety of experiences and is a destination that can easily be explored on its own or combined with neighboring European countries.

Berlin, the capital, is one of Europe’s most fascinating cities. Its turbulent history can be explored at the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, remnants of the Berlin Wall and Museum Island, while its neighborhoods offer everything from traditional cafés to art galleries, markets and nightlife.

One of Germany’s less known treasures is Dresden, known for its Baroque architecture and as my birth place a city particularly close to my heart. Sitting along the banks of the River Elbe, Dresden is often called the “Florence on the Elbe” because of its remarkable architecture, art and cultural heritage. Much of the historic center was destroyed during World War II and painstakingly rebuilt, making a walk through the old town even more meaningful.

Dresden is also a wonderful base for exploring Saxony. Just outside the city are vineyards, castles and picturesque towns like Meissen, where the true European porcelain was developed by alchemist Johann Friedrich Böttger. Just east of Dresden you can find the dramatic sandstone formations of Saxon Switzerland National Park which provide some of Germany’s best hiking and scenery.

The Bavarian capital Munich in the south of the country has a completely different character, with its Bavarian traditions, beer gardens and famous Oktoberfest, and makes an excellent starting point for exploring the Alps, lakes and castles of southern Germany.

Northern Germany has yet another personality. Hamburg combines maritime history with a modern waterfront and one of Europe's great harbors. Farther north, the Baltic and North Sea coasts offer beaches, islands and seaside resorts. The hanseatic city of Lübeck is known for its beautiful preserved medieval architecture and world-famous sweet almond confection Marzipan.

Beyond its cities, Germany is made for exploring. Drive the Romantic Road through Bavaria, stopping at walled medieval towns such as Rothenburg ob der Tauber, or continue south toward Neuschwanstein Castle and the Bavarian Alps. The Black Forest offers hiking trails, traditional villages, waterfalls and scenic drives, while the Rhine and Moselle valleys are lined with vineyards, hilltop castles and small riverside towns. River cruises through these regions offer a wonderfully relaxed way to experience the countryside.

Germany is especially rewarding for travelers interested in history and culture. Magnificent cathedrals, palaces, museums, castles and historic town centers can be found throughout the country. Cologne Cathedral is breathtaking, Heidelberg combines a romantic old town with its famous castle, and smaller communities often provide some of the most memorable experiences.

The country changes with the seasons as well. Spring and summer are ideal for hiking, cycling, river cruises and outdoor cafés. Autumn brings colorful landscapes, wine festivals and harvest celebrations. Winter transforms towns and city squares with some of Europe's most atmospheric Christmas markets, every little town has its own market, bigger cities even several, sometimes differently themed.

Germany works great for many different styles of travel. It can be explored by rental car on a self-drive vacation, by Germany's extensive rail network, on organized or private tours, by bicycle, on hiking trips or as part of a European river cruise. Travelers can build an itinerary around history, castles, food and wine, Christmas markets, family heritage, music and art, or simply take their time discovering small towns and countryside away from the usual tourist routes.

German food is also very regional. Bavarian specialties can be completely different from dishes found in Saxony or along the North Sea. Local bakeries, traditional restaurants, beer halls (nearly every town has their own authentic brewery!), wineries and seasonal markets are all part of the experience. Germany is not just about beer and bratwurst — although enjoying both in a traditional beer garden certainly belongs on the list.

Perhaps one of the best things about Germany is how easy it is to combine completely different experiences in one vacation. You can spend the morning exploring a world-class museum, the afternoon walking through a vineyard or medieval village and the following day hiking in the mountains. Whether you are visiting for the first time, tracing family roots, planning a romantic European getaway or returning to discover a different region, Germany has far more to offer than can be experienced in a single trip.

Reviewed By LisaM - Columbia, SC | Traveled to Italy | Europe

The entire planning process went so smoothly with the help of Sylvia and her travel expertise! Absolutely loved her suggestions and she couldn't have been more responsive and attentive to our questions. Italy was a dream, and her guidance regarding must-see cities & sites throughout our visit led to us having the trip of a lifetime. One town she suggested we check out, Siena, I had never even heard of before, but became one of the highlights of our journey. Everything was taken care of, a nicely balanced itinerary with everything we wanted to see included but still enough time to relax. Sylvia booked the transfers and amazing hotels for us, she really listened to what we had imagined. Her response time is great and made the planning process effortless. We started in Bangkok, went north to Ayutthaya and Sukhothai and further to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, followed by some beach time on Ko Samui and Ko Tao. Definitely want to go back to see Phuket and Ko Phi Phi as well, will consult with Sylvia again for sure! She has explored the country and knows what she is talking about. We definitely recommend her to anyone wanting to visit Thailand or anywhere else!

We even saw rhinos in a private game reserve she booked for us and enjoyed our game drives in Addo Elephant Park. The hotels and lodges she booked for us where amazing and in beautiful settings. It was an action packed and absolutely amazing trip and we still reminisce about our time in South Africa. Sylvia has been there many times and we were in great hands. Sylvia understood the mission, time was tight but we also wanted maximum fun. She presented a few islands that sounded like what we wanted and we landed on Syros. We were thrilled.
