I love a good adventure, don’t you? To explore new places, to be in the middle of something out of your control. To venture out with child-like curiosity, to taste the local cuisine, and navigate your way to some of the most beautiful places on Earth. For far too long, COVID 19 limited our ability to travel. Now the journey takes us in a new direction, freedom! What is the point of waiting? Now is the right time to set sail and allow your imagination to go wild. Be a thrill seeker! With so much to see and do, I can hardly wait to book my next trip, and capture the fun of traveling to exotic places again. To go around the world, meet new friends, learn local customs, and shop in Marketplaces that are like nothing you have encountered before. If this sounds like your idea of a good time, I invite you to join me in discovering first hand our gorgeous planet, and all the fun and exciting things to do on it.

Maui Trip Advisor

My boyfriend was stationed at Barber's Point, Hawaii on the Island of Oahu. I visited him every 6 months to visit all the Islands. Adventure abound, we did it all. Many places to rent equipment, and go check out all the beauty of Maui.

We loved the beaches and ocean excursions. The beaches in Maui is home to some of the world's most beautiful beaches. Wailea Beach, Kaanapali Beach, and Makena Beach are popular destinations for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports. The island's diverse coastline offers both white and black sand beaches.

Whale Watching: Maui is a prime location for whale watching, particularly during the winter months when humpback whales migrate to the warm waters of Hawaii to give birth and mate.

Outdoor Activities:Maui provides a wide range of outdoor activities, including snorkel, scuba diving, surfing, hiking, and zip-lining, making it a paradise for adventure seekers.

Maui hosts various cultural events and festivals throughout the year, celebrating Hawaiian traditions, music, and arts.

Plus Iao Valley is a lush, scenic area featuring the iconic Iao Needle, a natural rock formation surrounded by emerald green hills. The park offers hiking trails and a peaceful setting, allowing visitors to connect with Maui's natural beauty.

Don't forget to have dinner at Mama's Fish House. Its the best fish cuisine is fabulous.

As the sun began to cast its golden glow over the rolling hills of Napa Valley, I embarked on a journey that promised to be a symphony of flavors and a feast for the senses. This trip to Napa Valley, a wine lover's paradise, unfolded as a celebration of nature's beauty and the artistry of wine making. My adventure kicked off with a scenic drive through the iconic Silverado Trail, flanked by lush vineyards and framed by the majestic backdrop of the Mayacamas and Vaca mountain ranges. The air was crisp, carrying the sweet fragrance of ripening grapes, setting the tone for the vinous escapade that awaited. The first stop on my itinerary was a renowned winery, where I indulged in a guided tour through the vineyard. The knowledgeable guide led us through the meticulous process of grape cultivation, from bud break to harvest, explaining the unique terroir that contributes to the distinctive flavors of Napa Valley wines. Strolling through the neatly aligned vines, I felt a profound connection with the land and the centuries-old tradition of wine making. After the insightful tour, it was time to savor the fruits of the vine. The winery's tasting room offered a selection of their finest wines, each sip unveiling layers of complexity and craftsmanship. The rich Cabernet Sauvignons, crisp Chardonnays, and velvety Merlots danced on my palate, leaving a lingering impression of the region's wine making prowess. The gastronomic delights continued as I explored Napa Valley's culinary scene. I savored a farm-to-table lunch at a charming bistro, where the menu showcased locally sourced ingredients that complemented the wines perfectly. The synergy between food and wine was a testament to Napa Valley's commitment to the art of gastronomy.Eager to explore more, I visited a few boutique wineries tucked away in the valley, each with its own story to tell. From family-owned vineyards with a history dating back generations to avant-garde estates pushing the boundaries of wine making, Napa Valley offered a diverse tapestry of experiences. As the day drew to a close, I found myself at a hillside winery, where I witnessed a breathtaking sunset over the vine-covered landscape. With a glass of exceptional sparkling wine in hand, I toasted to the beauty of Napa Valley and the memories created on this special journey.Reflecting on my trip to Napa Valley, I couldn't help but marvel at the region's ability to blend tradition and innovation seamlessly. It was not just a pilgrimage for wine enthusiasts; it was an immersion into a world where every sip told a story, and every vineyard had a unique melody to share. Napa Valley, with its picturesque vistas and exceptional wines, had cast its spell, leaving me with a deep appreciation for the artistry that transforms grapes into liquid poetry.

Southern California Beaches Travel Agent Expert

California is my home. Raised in Los Angeles, I discovered as a teenager, my favorite place was just a 25 minute drive to the coastline. First stop, Huntington Beach. Known for its consistent surf breaks, and Nicknamed "Surf City USA”, people travel here exclusively to learn how to surf and “Hang Ten” while taking in the vibrant beach culture.

If you fancy tide pools, keep driving south, to Laguna Beach, also located in Orange County. Laguna Beach has several beautiful beaches, including Main Beach, Crescent Bay Beach, and Thousand Steps Beach, known for their clear waters and tide pools. I can’t say I have a favorite beach because the California coastline is hundreds of miles of diverse cliffs, rock formations and dunes. I recommend seeing the Coastline by car, driving Hwy 1. In the springtime, hot pink, and orange ice plants are in bloom and light up the dunes in spectacular colors.  If in California in summertime, be sure to dress in layers, as it can get quite brisk. Continuing South on Hwy 1, Santa Monica Beach, in Los Angeles County, is famous for its iconic pier, (cool stuff to buy) wide sandy shores, and lively musical atmosphere. Next door is Venice Beach, packed with busy streets and popular tourist attractions. Venice Beach is known for its vibrant boardwalk, street performers, and eclectic atmosphere. Down the road a piece is Malibu beach. Home to the uber rich where you can hang ten at Zuma Beach, Surfrider Beach, and El Matador Beach, known for excellent surfing conditions. And last but not least of my Southern California best places to visit, don’t miss San Diego. Some of California's most beautiful beaches, including Coronado Beach and historical Hotel. La Jolla Cove, and Mission Beach each offering its own unique charm and recreational opportunities. Bring your IGLOO cooler and picnic basket, you’ll find hundreds of Vista points and places to stop and smell the sea air, and admire nature in phenomenal fashion. Or, stop into one of the many excellent seafood restaurants or hotel resorts. The Clam Chowder is the bomb!

Best Beaches in Northern California Travel Agent

California is blessed with spectacular beaches along rugged coastline. San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge is the gateway to the Northern California Coastline. In the heart of San Francisco City, is Stinson Beach. The iconic and breathtaking stretch of beach is known for its long sandy shore, perfect for sunbathing, picnicking, kite flying, dog walking and of course playing in the waves. Ocean Beach is also in San Francisco. Ocean Beach is popular with surfers, beachcombers, and bonfires, though swimming here can be dangerous due to strong currents and cold water. The entire Mendocino coastline is dotted with picturesque beaches, such as Manchester State Beach and MacKerricher State Park, known for their striking beauty and Marine wildlife sightings. Another great place to explore is Glass Beach. Plentiful are the cute cottages and hotels bordering the waters edge, offering  simple or luxury accommodations. Take a stroll before sunset and explore the many souvenir shops, bars, and dining choices of surf and turf. Twenty five miles south of San Francisco, is Half Moon Bay and State Beach.  Francis Beach and Poplar Beach is all about surfing, fishing, picnicking, and exploring tide pools. Half Moon Bay’s Inlet, is a fishing harbor, where visitors can watch fishing boats come and go, purchase fresh seafood directly from the docks, or even charter a fishing excursion to try their luck at catching salmon, crab, or rockfish. October in Half Moon Bay is the annual Pumpkin Festival-one of the largest in the world.  The festival features giant pumpkin weigh-offs, pumpkin carving contests, live music, food, and crafts. Overall, Half Moon Bay offers natural beauty, small-town charm, agricultural and outdoor excursions making it a special destination along the Northern California coast.  Ultimately, the best time to visit Northern California beaches depends on your preferences and interests. If you enjoy warm weather and water activities, summer may be the best time for you. If you prefer fewer crowds and milder temperatures, consider visiting in spring or fall. Regardless of when you visit, Northern California's beaches offer stunning scenery and plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventure.

Nestled in the embrace of the Pacific Ocean, Kauai, often referred to as the Garden Isle, beckons with its lush landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and pristine beaches. My journey to this tropical paradise was nothing short of a magical odyssey, where every corner of the island revealed a new facet of its natural beauty. The adventure began with a scenic flight into Lihue, the island's main gateway. As the plane descended, the emerald greenery and rugged cliffs came into view, setting the stage for the awe-inspiring experiences that awaited. I soon found myself traversing the winding roads along the North Shore, where the scent of plumeria and hibiscus perfumed the air, and the rhythmic crashing of waves serenaded the coastline. My first encounter with Kauai's enchantment took place at the Na Pali Coast. Embarking on a boat tour, I marveled at the dramatic cliffs rising majestically from the ocean, their verdant slopes adorned with waterfalls that seemed to defy gravity. Snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters revealed a kaleidoscopic world of vibrant coral reefs and marine life, making it a surreal underwater paradise.Continuing my exploration, Waimea Canyon beckoned with its grandeur. Known as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific," the canyon's hues ranged from deep reds to lush greens, creating a breathtaking panorama. Hiking trails offered panoramic vistas, and I found myself lost in the sheer magnitude of nature's artistry. The allure of Kauai extended beyond its landscapes to its cultural richness. A visit to a traditional luau immersed me in the island's Polynesian heritage, where hula dancers told stories through graceful movements, and the aroma of traditional Hawaiian cuisine filled the air. It was a celebration of community, history, and the spirit of aloha.Kauai's diverse ecosystems unfolded as I explored the Wailua River and its verdant surroundings. A kayak journey upstream led me to the enchanting Fern Grotto, where cascading ferns created a natural amphitheater. The melodic sounds of live Hawaiian music filled the air, adding to the surreal ambiance. On the eastern side of the island, the sleepy town of Hanalei welcomed me with its charming atmosphere. A stroll along its pier offered breathtaking views of Hanalei Bay and the surrounding mountains, while the vibrant town center provided a glimpse into local life.As my trip to Kauai drew to a close, I found solace on the serene beaches of Poipu. The golden sands, gentle waves, and warm sunshine created a perfect tableau for relaxation. Watching the sunset dip below the horizon, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the kaleidoscope of experiences that Kauai had generously shared. In retrospect, my journey to Kauai was not just a vacation; it was an immersion into a world where nature's beauty reigned supreme, and the aloha spirit lingered in the air. The Garden Isle had woven its magic, leaving me with memories of a place where time seemed to slow down, and the wonders of the world unfolded at every turn.

Lake Tahoe Destination Travel Agent Expert

In the early 1980’s a friend of mine started talking about this place up the hill.  They talked about Lake Tahoe in Winter. They said the snowpack was tremendous and how great the feeling of skiing on powder and the adrenaline that comes and the fresh mountain air filling your lungs and they felt alive.  So my girl friends and I jumped in the car for a 3 hour drive from the bay area and Northstar on the California side. We shopped for ski pants and jackets, ski’s and poles and braved up for our first lesson. Turns out, we were more the water skiing type. LakeTahoe is divided between California and Nevada. All around the lake there are cabins large and small. Many places to stay in Tahoe and accommodations range from Camping by the lake to Gourmet dining, events and shows and gambling casinos. The Sierra Mountains surround Lake Tahoe.  Celebrities can be seen playing golf at the picturesque golf resort in Town. This  area has something for everybody. In the summertime, you can take the tram up the mountain, to Heavenly, or watch fireworks over the lake on the 4th of July. Try the Sunday Brunch at “The Lake of the Timbers” restaurant on the top floor, and place your bets and win big and have a real good time wherever you visit. Turns out,  I love the summers in Tahoe the best, for its canoeing on the lake, bike riding through Forest, walking the high hills, Hot tubbing, and trying the various cuisines in the hotel restaurants. It is the best!  If you are looking for less crowds, try  boating, fishing, or gliding across the water on the Northside of  Lake Tahoe, is perfect for that.  Camping with the bears, or a quiet picnic, water skiing, or shop for unique trinkets from local vendors.

Los Angeles-Fun Vacation Destinations Travel Agent

I was raised in a place where the average temperature ranges from 72-76 degrees on any given day and growing up it was hard to complain about the weather in Los Angeles. Our family enjoyed short-sleeve weather just about year round. Los Angeles has a million places to go and things to see and do. Here are some crowd-pleasing ways to experience it.  Explore Downtown LA, and discover the vibrant arts and culture scene of Downtown LA, including the historic Olvera Street with its broad contemporary art museum, and the revitalized Arts District. Also a must see is Griffith Observatory, for its stunning views of the city or hike/ bike the trails, plus picnics and other outdoor activities in this expansive urban park. Close by, is the Hollywood “Walk of Fame”. I love this place!  It's popular to stroll along Hollywood Boulevard, to find your favorite Motion Picture Stars on display. Visit the Chinese Theatre, and explore the shops, restaurants, and attractions of this iconic neighborhood. Check out a TV Show being taped live. It is exciting to watch live at studios like Warner Bros. Or Studio Tour Hollywood is available on CBS Television City, where you can see your favorite shows being filmed. And, not to forget,  Food Tours available for all you Foodie’s out there, with a diverse culinary scene of Los Angeles, sampling everything from gourmet food trucks and ethnic cuisine to trendy restaurants and celebrity chef eateries. Another fun way to spend your time is shopping on Rodeo Drive!  Indulge in luxury shopping in Beverly Hills, known for its high-end boutiques, designer stores, and upscale restaurants. Beach lover’s can soak up the sun, play in the sand, and ride the surf at popular beaches like Santa Monica enjoying classic amusement park rides, games, plus historic Santa Monica Pier, which also offers stunning ocean views and dining options. Oahu In the Fall of 1982, working in the Silicon Valley, working for computer companies, we decided to plan our first trip to the Hawaiian Islands. When we landed, Pleasant Holidays Vacations greeted us with flower lei. Four twenty-something’s interested in one thing only, going to the beach. What I soon discovered about the Island of Oahu, is there is so much more to it than simply a famous beach.  It was paradise I found, and the incredible History I would come to cherish.  The Hawaiian culture, the people so gentle, so graceful and so attuned to the land, as they explained the history to the newcomers. The thing I remember the most about my first visit to Hawaii wasn’t the beaches or the swimming or the sun, it was the feeling I got standing still at the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor. I will never forget how I felt after hearing the stories of the brave men who died fighting for their country. We drove through the pineapple fields at sunset. We went back to the hotel, changed for dinner, went to the beach and attended our first luau, and we fell in love that night with the Island, the people and the aloha spirit. Oahu has many places to enjoy local Hawaiian music, it is as prevalent as the smell of the Plumeria flowers. During the morning hours, we travel by Jeep, all over the Island, soaking up as much sun and fun as possible. We took mopeds to Hanauma Bay snorkeling and saw the beautiful colors of the fish and coral. We attended a show at the Polynesian Cultural Center, and ate pineapple and mango flavored ice cream, so refreshing and yummy. We had the best time shopping and being tourists.  Even though Oahu has a bigger population, you hardly notice as soon all the fun things to see and do are a distraction.  From Fishing, diving, whale watching, or hanging on the Catamaran you will have the best time. Don’t forget to climb Diamond head. The view from the top is amazing.

Wine Tasting Travel Agent Professional

I moved to Northern California in the 1980's,  It was the place to be, and Napa Valley was an up and coming hub of weekend warriors.  Still quaint, quite and very very beautiful, Napa offered nature, culture and history.  My friends and I would hop in the car and be in the Napa Valley in 90 minutes. The trips were always wonderful and never the same experience. A day of exploring the great Wineries and Cellars where we could smell the essence of fermentation, taste something new, and making new friends.

Where vast amounts of red and white grapes, are pressed and processed into the most heavenly drink. A taste of the local cuisine, the shops inside the wineries are filled with homemade products ranging  from dried fruits, nuts, olives and of course, garlic everything!  Unique local homemade goods, like Pasta and Pie.  They range from Jams, home style breads, cheeses, olives, and garlic of course, as well ceramics dishes, linens and stationary goods for the Home.  The region is rich with soil that produces many fruit, and vegetables, sold at quaint fruit stands on the side of the road.

After celebrating the various wine tasting, we brought home many wines-like new found treasure. We paired it with roasted garlic, sourdough, brie cheese and roasted veggies and ate like kings. I still enjoy a day trip to Napa to see what has changed and grab a few bottles of the treasured juice we all love so much. Its hard to imagine having any problems on day in the Napa Valley.

Experience the tram while you are there, it will take you to the top of the mountain, an sip Champagne and eat grapes this Christmas! Napa Valley is spectacular way to spend the day, time with friends or a quick shopping trip, with so many ways to enjoy your weekend.

Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.

Reviewed By Dr. Stacy - Rough & Ready, California | Traveled to Italy ~ Europe

My friends and I were looking for a European trip to see more of the countryside not accessible on City tours. I saw a commercial for train tours through Italy, with glass domes to see more of the spectacular landscape, while sipping perfectly paired wines and the most excellent europeans style cuisine. The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, is a luxurious and iconic train experience that evokes the elegance and glamor of the golden age of travel. Needless to say, we were all onboard for the experience. Shannon provided information and options with pictures to give us a taste of what to expect. Shannon booked the round trip flights, tickets on the Orient-Express, plus transportation to and from the airport. We had a blast! The staff was friendly, making it easy to relax. We all felt the service was excellent. The train was stunning European decor and a smooth ride. The cuisine was epic, and the wait staff attentive to our needs, making our trip all we expected and more.

Waikiki beach in Honolulu HA, was a destination I dreamed about for years. Luckily, my friend Shannon is a travel consultant and booked the package for all of us. The flight on Hawaiian Air was big. Six hours later, the four of us anxious ladies were on the beach soaking up the sun. We spent time traveling to as many beaches as possible, like Sunset Beach, which had the biggest waves, crashing on the shore. We went to our first Luau, which was wonderful! We had rum drinks with flowers in the glass and ate Hawaiian cuisine for the first time, lots of laughter and dancing went on that night I tell you. We all want to go back to the Islands as soon as possible, to do more things like Zipline through the Waterfalls. Next time, Maui or Kauai and Shannon will plan it for us again.
