Panama City Beach is another favorite for families and anyone looking for a fun beach vacation.

If you're looking for classic Florida, Daytona Beach offers miles of coastline, motorsports history, and plenty of activities for families and couples. Jacksonville, located in North Florida, provides a completely different experience with beautiful beaches, excellent restaurants, outdoor recreation, and easy access to historic destinations throughout the region.

Of course, no visit to Florida would be complete without spending time in Orlando. Whether you're visiting Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld, or enjoying world class dining, shopping, golf, and entertainment, Orlando truly offers something for every age and every type of traveler.

Tampa is another destination I love recommending because it blends waterfront living, professional sports, family attractions, amazing restaurants, and nearby beaches into one incredible vacation. Maryland has been home for more than five years, and one of the things I appreciate most is the incredible variety of experiences packed into one state. When I'm missing the beaches of Florida or the Caribbean, I head to Ocean City. Whether you're traveling with family, friends, or as a couple, there's something for everyone;from parasailing and paddleboarding to relaxing with your toes in the sand. It's one of the East Coast's favorite beach destinations and an excellent option for a summer getaway.

Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy throughout Maryland. I love spending time kayaking on the area's rivers and bays, exploring scenic walking trails, visiting local parks, and discovering nature preserves that showcase the state's natural beauty. Maryland offers countless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, whether you're looking for a leisurely afternoon or an active adventure.

If entertainment is part of your travel style, Maryland also has excellent casino resorts. MGM National Harbor, Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland, and Horseshoe Casino Baltimore offer much more than gaming. They feature exceptional restaurants, live concerts, comedy shows, luxury accommodations, and nightlife, making them enjoyable destinations even for visitors who never step onto the casino floor.

One of the highlights of visiting Maryland is the food. Fresh seafood is part of the state's identity, and no trip feels complete without trying authentic Maryland crab cakes, steamed Maryland blue crabs, or warm crab dip. Beyond seafood, Maryland's dining scene offers an incredible variety of cuisines, from waterfront restaurants and rooftop dining to international flavors, food halls, and neighborhood favorites.

Summer is one of my favorite times to experience Maryland. Communities across the state host free outdoor concerts, festivals, movie nights, farmers markets, waterfront events, and family-friendly activities. There is always something happening, whether you're traveling with children, planning a couples' getaway, or simply looking for a relaxing weekend escape.

One of Maryland's greatest advantages is its location. While your vacation may begin here, it's easy to expand your adventure. Hop aboard the MARC Train or Amtrak for a day trip into Washington, D.C., to explore the Smithsonian museums, national monuments, and historic landmarks, or continue north to Philadelphia for another unforgettable city experience. As you wander the Parkway, you'll discover old-fashioned candy stores filled with handmade saltwater taffy, fresh caramel apples, and some of the best homemade fudge you'll ever taste. The sweet aroma drifting from the candy kitchens makes it nearly impossible to walk by without stopping for a treat.

Families will find no shortage of entertainment. Go-kart tracks, mountain coasters, mini golf, arcades, escape rooms, and interactive attractions make Gatlinburg an exciting destination for kids and adults alike. One attraction I always recommend is Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, consistently recognized as one of the country's top aquariums. Walking through the underwater tunnel while sharks, rays, and colorful marine life swim overhead is an experience visitors of all ages remember long after their trip ends.

Berlin offers an incredible mix of history and modern culture. Walk through the Brandenburg Gate, visit the remnants of the Berlin Wall Memorial, explore Museum Island, or enjoy the city's vibrant cafés, restaurants, and nightlife. Every neighborhood offers something unique, making Berlin a city you can visit again and again while discovering something new each time.

Germany's transportation system is one of my favorite parts of traveling throughout the country. The rail network makes it incredibly easy to visit multiple cities during one vacation. Whether you're traveling from Berlin to Munich, Cologne, Heidelberg, or Hamburg, the trains are comfortable, efficient, and allow you to enjoy the beautiful countryside along the way. For travelers who enjoy road trips, renting a car offers another unforgettable experience. You can drive portions of the famous Autobahn. It's an adventure that many visitors look forward to and one of the most unique driving experiences in Europe.

Southern Germany offers an entirely different atmosphere. Munich is known around the world for Oktoberfest, but the city is worth visiting throughout the year. Beautiful architecture, lively beer gardens, local markets, museums, and charming public squares make it one of Germany's most beloved destinations. It's also the perfect starting point for exploring the Bavarian countryside.

No visit to Germany feels complete without seeing Neuschwanstein Castle, the fairytale castle that inspired Disney. Nestled among the Bavarian Alps, it's one of the most photographed castles in the world and a destination that truly lives up to its reputation. Nature lovers will also appreciate the scenic beauty of the Black Forest, with its charming villages, hiking trails, waterfalls, and famous cuckoo clocks.

One of my favorite experiences in Germany is cruising along the Rhine Valley, where medieval castles overlook vineyards and picturesque villages line the riverbanks. It's easy to understand why this region is considered one of the most beautiful in Europe. Whether you're taking a river cruise, enjoying local wines, or exploring historic towns, every stop offers another postcard-worthy view.

If you're visiting during the holiday season, Germany's Christmas Markets are unlike anything else in the world. Streets come alive with sparkling lights, handcrafted ornaments, festive music, roasted nuts, mulled wine, gingerbread, and local artisans selling unique gifts. Each market has its own personality, making it easy to spend days exploring different cities and experiencing holiday traditions that have been celebrated for centuries.

Germany is also a paradise for food lovers. Every region has its own specialties, from fresh pretzels and bratwurst to schnitzel, Black Forest cake, and locally brewed beers. The potions are so reasonable that sharing a plate is sometimes the only way to pace yourself. Mofongo is the island classic you have to try, but do not stop there. Food tours through Old San Juan are one of the best ways to explore the city while sampling the rich and diverse culinary culture Puerto Rico has to offer.

Old San Juan is where the cruise ships dock, which means great shopping and dining from morning to night, but the magic really happens after the sun goes down. The cobblestone streets come alive with energy, and finding a local spot with live music or a DJ is never a challenge.
