Singapore Honeymoon

Reviewed By So Cal Girlie - Newport Beach, CA | Traveled to Singapore | East and Southeast Asia

We reached out to Sally to help us plan our Singapore honeymoon after spending weeks trying to plan it ourselves and getting completely overwhelmed. She is such a pro. She took over what we had planned so far, organized it logistically, and then suggested a mix of city time, food experiences, a few private tours thrown in which were actually really great. She called it by advising us to schedule a few quiet days at the end of our trip, which turned out to be exactly what we needed. We definitely had enough structure to see the highlights of Singapore but still had room to wander, eat, and just recover from our wedding. The hawker centers were so much fun to explore and eat at, we were totally amused by them. And our dinner at Lavo Italian restaurant at the Marina Bay Sands was just perfect. One of our favorite memories from our trip. I'll absolutely use Sally again for our next big trip.

Anniversary Trip to Portugal

Reviewed By Sarai26 - San Diego, CA | Traveled to Portugal | Europe

My boyfriend and I worked with Sally on a trip to Portugal to celebrate our first anniversary, and it ended up being one of those picture perfect trips that we will cherish forever. We split our time between Lisbon, Porto, and the Douro Valley, admiring the unique and fascinating personalities of each. We loved our hotels, as they were such a good fit for us based on location, esthetics, and price range. One thing that was so great about working with Sally was that she took the time to ask questions and listen in order to understand our travel style and interests. We aren't the type of travelers who want every minute scheduled, but we also don't want to spend our vacation constantly trying to figure out where to go next. Sally designed a really comfortable schedule with activities for us including private and small group tours, meals ranging from casual to fine dining, an unforgettable Fado music dinner show, and wine tasting. Everything was so well organized in the mobile app Sally had us use. We loved looking at all the info and photos she provided each night in preparation for the next day. By the time we boarded our flight home, we both agreed that Portugal had moved into our top three favorite places on earth. We're already talking about our next adventure and where we might want to go. One thing is for sure, we will definitely work with Sally again. Thank you, Sally, for helping make this such a memorable trip for both of us.

Sicily Sicily Sicily!

Reviewed By NicoleM84 - Ventura, CA | Traveled to Puglia | Italy | Europe

I've traveled quite a bit over the years, and yet Sicily somehow managed to exceed every expectation I had. The funny part is that it wasn't even originally at the top of my list. I reached out to Sally as a solo female travel specialist and she kept saying she thought Sicily would be a great fit for me based on the kinds of places I enjoy. So I trusted her and went for it. She was absolutely right! Every stop felt different. The farm stay in Scicli. Oh that farm! And Carlo and Vincenzo were the sweetest hosts ever! I loved wandering the narrow streets of all the small towns in the mornings before things got busy, and sitting in little piazzas with a cappuccino, watching life unfold around me in the afternoons before heading to the beach for a swim. Long and lingering lunches that usually turned into two to three hours, just because. The food. Every meal was straight out of an issue of Bon Appetit magazine. I still miss the pistachio pasta, cannolo, and the seafood dinner I had on my last night. Every meal was "the best meal" of the trip. What I appreciated most about working with Sally was that the recommendations came from her own personal experiences and knowledge of the area, not from an AI-generated list. I also had a transport issue pop up during the trip, and instead of spending half a day stressing about it, I reached out to Sally and she helped reroute me, so I got to spend an extra day in Palermo at the markets. What a pro! I've come home from great trips before but this time was different. Even while on the plane home, I was already trying to figure out when I can take my next trip, and of course I will be working with Sally.

Sally is the best!

Reviewed By MikeLuvsLaura - Charleston, SC | Traveled to Japan | East and Southeast Asia

A few weeks before our Japan trip, we were notified by the hotel they would be doing construction in our wing and as that did not sound ideal for us at all, we reached out to Travel Leaders who paired us with Sally in hopes of her finding us an acceptable replacement accommodation. Sally jumped in right away and found us a hotel that we ended up loving! That alone made this service worth it. But, upon communicating with her, we realized we were missing some things from our own itinerary so we asked Sally to take a look and help us fill in the gaps. She was such a huge help! Restructured our days to create a better flow for the trip, added in a couple of private tours for context, history, and culture which were both amazing, and advised us of common Japan pitfalls, which we never would have known about had we not worked with Sally. She entered everything into a beautifully formatted itinerary inside of a mobile app which was so convenient and useful. We referenced it at least a dozen times every day! It may sound cliche, but Kyoto was our favorite. However, our sunrise hike through Fushimi Inari was the best pro-tip ever! As we were leaving, all the tour buses were showing up and we were thanking our lucky stars that we were on our way out versus in. A sensational trip and a huge relief knowing that we now have our forever trip planner, Sally!

Taiwan Won My Heart

Reviewed By LenaTravelsSolo - Santa Monica, CA | Traveled to Taiwan | East and Southeast Asia

Taiwan had been sitting on my wish list for years but honestly I was feeling a bit intimidated by the whole planning process for somewhere that felt so foreign to me. I researched advisors who had Taiwan experience and ended up connecting with Sally. What a perfect match! She too is a solo traveler and has been to Taiwan several times, with local connections, so that made me feel so much better about her perspective and advice while planning my trip. Jiufen. Those alleyways, drinking tea, and lanterns. Forever imprinted on my brain. I told Sally that food was probably my number one priority and she definitely understood that. The night markets and Michelin dining alone were worth the trip. Polar opposite dining experiences, loved them all. Working with Sally felt so personal and comprehensive. She left no details out of the itinerary and I really felt taken care of by her during the whole process as well as the trip itself. I know we will be working together again, hopefully sooner than later!

Friend Trip For the Books

Reviewed By Beach Bunny - Tampa, FL | Traveled to Greece | Europe

There were five of us girls on this Greece trip and after way too much back and forth, we decided to look for professional help. One of the girls was referred to Sally by her friend who had worked with her and loved her, so we all agreed to let her help us plan our trip. One wanted beaches. One wanted shopping. One wanted great food. One wanted a deep dive on the history. However, I just wanted to sit outside with a glass of wine and stare at the water for a week. Our dinner at a little family-run restaurant in Naxos was like a scene from a movie. And none of us wanted to leave. We kept ordering "one more thing" and stayed there for hours and hours. Sally really scored high in finding us a great boutique hotel where the local owners felt like family members by the end of the trip. She respected our budget while making sure we all got to do what we wanted to do. The private tours were actually so fun because the guides were so passionate and knowledgable about all things Greece. Of course the food, sunshine and water were all unforgettable. Thank God she advised us to go before all the crowds show up in late June and into July and August. Mid-May really was the perfect time to go. Thank you, Sally! We really appreciate all your hard work and the app with the itinerary on it was the best thing ever!

Found Exactly What I Needed In Croatia

Reviewed By DanHikes - Bend, OR | Traveled to Croatia | Europe

I wanted to take this trip solo after a pretty hectic start to the year and needed some time to unplug. I tend to over-research everything to the point of feeling overwhelmed, so it was nice having someone narrow things down and create the kind of trip I was imagining for myself. Renting a scooter on Hvar, riding around and spending hours stopping at random beaches was so cool. Enjoying a beer at a small roadside cafe. I won't ever forget it. Would absolutely use Sally again.

Denmark was a hit!

Reviewed By DadAboutTown - Peoria, IL | Traveled to Copenhagen | Denmark | Europe

Traveling with three kids can sometimes feel like moving a small army, but Denmark was one of the few trips we have taken as a family where things actually felt manageable. All thanks to Sally's expert planning. The Viking Ship Museum ended up being a bigger hit than I expected and Tivoli Gardens was an absolute home run. Even our teenager admitted he had fun, which is about the highest praise possible. The best part for me was not having to spend every evening figuring out what came next. Working with Sally really was the best decision we could have made.

Poland Without the Guesswork

Reviewed By Megs&Marcus - Stephenville, TX | Traveled to Poland | Europe

My husband and I spent 10 days in Poland and had an incredible experience. We knew we wanted to see Kraków and Warsaw, but Sally encouraged us to spend a couple of nights in Wroclaw as well. That ended up being one of our favorite stops. One afternoon we wandered through Market Square and spent almost an hour looking for the little bronze dwarf statues hidden around the city. It sounds silly, but it became a running competition between the two of us. The route Sally put together made the trip feel balanced instead of rushed. We got the history we were looking for, but also had time to sit at outdoor cafes and enjoy the cities at a slower pace. Having recommendations from someone who had actually visited Poland herself made a huge difference.

When Things Went Sideways, Sally Had Our Back

Reviewed By JetLaggedDad - Seattle, WA | Traveled to Taiwan | East and Southeast Asia

I'll be honest, before this trip, I thought travel planners were mostly for luxury travelers. Even after contracting with Sally to plan our trip, I wasn't fully sold on the idea. And then, our family trip to Taiwan happened. A few days before departure, one of our flights was changed by the airline, which not only created a domino effect with our arrival time, transportation, and tour plans, but also quite a bit of anxiety as well. I sent Sally an email that probably sounded rather dramatic and desperate, and by the time I woke up the next morning, she had already worked through alternatives and adjusted everything. The trip itself was simply fantastic. Taipei was so vibrant and exciting, the food was incredible, and our kids are still talking about our tour guides and the night markets. We also spent time outside the city, which ended up being one of our favorite parts of the trip, thanks to Sally's advice. What impressed me most wasn't when everything was going according to plan, but it was seeing how quickly Sally stepped in when it wasn't. Instead of spending hours on hold with airlines and hotels, and trying to figure things out from another time zone, we got to focus on just enjoying our vacation. Sally is a life saver and a pro. We'll absolutely use her again.
