Your Escape Begins with Our Story
Regent Seven Seas Cruises traces its roots back to 1992, when two boutique cruise lines — Radisson Cruises and Seven Seas Cruises — merged to form Radisson Seven Seas Cruises under the umbrella of Minneapolis-based Carlson Hospitality Worldwide. From the start, the line set out to do something different: deliver a genuinely all-inclusive luxury experience on intimate, elegantly appointed ships.
A major milestone came in 2001 with the launch of Seven Seas Mariner — the world's first all-suite, all-balcony ship — setting a new benchmark for space and privacy at sea. In 2006, the line rebranded as Regent Seven Seas Cruises, reflecting its evolution into one of the most prestigious names in luxury travel.
The modern era of Regent truly arrived with the 2016 debut of Seven Seas Explorer, touted as the most luxurious cruise ship ever built, followed by sister ships Seven Seas Splendor in 2020 and Seven Seas Grandeur in 2023. Today, under the ownership of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Regent continues to push the boundaries of ultra-luxury cruising — with more destinations, more inclusions, and more unforgettable experiences than ever before.
